Fabulous property
We have stayed in the Territories for over 10 years. I hate to say this as it will be harder to book but this property is a 10+. The owners have thought of everything and we felt like we were in a 5 star property. Everything was perfect. Thank you Sarah.

Galena Getaway
This was the perfect stay for my fiance and I. Exactly what we were looking for when visiting for the weekend. The home is beautiful and very well taken care of. The owner was very nice and the home was guest friendly. Would highly recommend!

Spring Break
The host was very responsive and the house was very clean/nice for our family of four plus our dog. We enjoyed the surprise of having everything provided to make s'mores and loved seeing the wild turkeys roaming in the back. Would book to stay here again on a return trip to Galena.

Charming home for cozy family stay
So clean, comfortable, charming, and guest friendly. Things were labeled throughout the house for ease of guest use. Great layout, comfortable beds, and comfortable common area. Sarah even had an area of travel items for use if you left yours at home. We saw beautiful wild turkeys in the back yard! We loved that the home is dog friendly, however the place was so clean, you wouldn’t know that dogs had ever been in there. We would come back to this home again for sure! Just know the amenities section of home manual says there are 6 key cards for owner’s club and there are currently 5 key cards. We thought we had maybe lost one and spent some time looking for additional key card. Thanks so much for the use of your home Sarah! We really appreciate it.

Great girls getaway
There were five adult females ages 36-47. We loved the large table to play games, pig out on snacks and have cocktails. We had wild turkeys walk through the yard each morning, and even gobble back to us when we “talked” to them. We’d recommend this place anytime!!

The host is amazing, very responsive, kind, and accommodating. The house was fantastic, very clean. The kids loved it and the location is close to the owners club and highway 20. The house is close to trails. We saw a lot of deer and turkey. Great location.

Nice place to stay!
We like this place! The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen has everything you'd need, and the bathroom has a jet tub! The very cozy family room has a fireplace and Roku TV. The location is very good, clean, and quiet. The trail entry is about 50 yards away from the house. Recommend!

Perfect Cozy Stay!
Beautiful house that had perfect details with amenities and activities in the house! My friends and family and I stayed after skiing all day and it was a perfect place to relax with the fire and comfortable atmosphere. Can only imagine how nice/beautiful it is in the summer! Will have to come back!

A Magical Alternative Weekend
This was my first time using Vbro. Sarah was timely and efficient in communicating if there was anything I wanted or in a few cases, needed to know. The house itself was immaculately clean and perfect for a quiet and much needed break with the family! The QR codes really helped out when there was a question. It felt like being home. I do wish we could have stayed longer and the house was two hours further east but that comes with the territory I suppose. UNEXPECTED SURPRISE: We had five deer take a break to graze on the grass in the front yard the morning of our check out, very nice to see wildlife up close.

Beautiful autumn weekend!
Five friends met up for an overdue long weekend in Galena. Have gone the B&B route in the past, but decided to try this VRBO property as it is pet friendly which we needed this time. Sarah is extremely helpful and prompt with communication. We had to change our length of stay (within the change/cancellation window), and she was very understanding and processed our one night refund immediately. She emailed all check in and check out instructions, property manual, etc. prior to our arrival, and we had no issues during our stay. The property was well appointed, SUPER clean, and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Lovely wooded backyard area (peak fall colors were an added bonus). We enjoyed both the indoor wood fireplace and outdoor fire pit, and the property is very quiet and serene. Saw many deer and wild turkeys during our stay! The trek into Galena was just under 15 minutes, so super easy to go back and forth for shopping, dining, and activities. We had a wonderful stay, and hope to return one day. Would definitely recommend!

A cozy home with fun wildlife
The house exceeded our expectations. It cozy and very clean. We were mainly there midweek and it was very quiet with turkeys and deer periodically running past the windows. Very nice.

Always a great time in Galena!
Great house to just sit and relax watching the turkeys come and go in the backyard. Everything is labeled and easy to use. Very quiet with lots of little touches. Good location away from everything yet just a close drive away from downtown.

The best!

Family wedding in Galena. We dont like the hotel scene. This property was the perfect alternative. Not too far to drive. Cozy, quiet. Lots of nice touches. One of the nicest places we have stayed at.

We had an amazing stay at Sarah’s. There is nothing she hasn’t thought of. Beds were comfy, sheets we newer. Refrigerator had all the things you hate to buy because your not going to take them home with you like ketchup and mayonnaise, bandaids, wood for fire pit. Everything was clean. Bathrooms where in good shape. The jacuzzi tub was amazing. My grandchildren loved it. Easy to communicate. We didn’t go to the pool but she had owners passes if we had wanted to. We did cook breakfast and several dinners. Everything you need was in the kitchen. Even makings for s’mores and roasting utensils too. We made s’mores 3 times. WiFi worked great and Netflix and the roku were easy. The only thing we had trouble with was the thermostat. We were there in 80+ days and the upstairs was hot. We did adjust the thermostat but in the middle of the night it would reset to economy mode. We did try to figure that out to no avail. Keeping it set to cool off the upstairs which worked fine but than the downstairs was chilly. Regardless we had a lovely stay and we plan to visit again and stay at Sarah’s. I highly recommend staying. Sarah’s place is fantastic! We have been to Galena many times I highly recommend it and stay at Sarah’s. My family all gave it a 10+ and they are very opinionated.👍😊

Lovely Galena Home
This property was perfect for our family. We were travelling with our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. The house had bedrooms to accommodate everyone, and a wonderful living room area for everyone to visit together. There is also a screened in porch, if you prefer to sit outside. It was close enough to the places/activities we wanted to see/do. The wildlife in the backyard was great, too - deer and wild turkeys both walked through the yard. The property owner was wonderful to work with. She provided us with all of the information we needed to easily check in and out. It's a lovely home, and we had a stress free weekend!

Pictures don't do it justice!
The neighborhood is charming, quiet, and scenic. The house is immaculate with everything you need to cook a meal, have drinks, relax or go exploring. I didn't realize it came with a club house pool and much more! The beds are sooooo comfortable. The wildlife is fun to watch. Minutes from town but you feel like you are out in the country.

Galena and Great River Road trip
We stayed three nights here then drove the great river road back to St. Louis. This house was perfect for two couples. Everything was so organized and the communication with Sarah was fantastic. We arrived late on our first night and everything was perfectly prepared for our stay including the coffee for the morning. We really enjoyed staying in the Galena territory while we explored Galena. We would definitely stay at this house again.

It was enough space for 6 girls! If you wake up to the sun then it might be a problem. She has the house very well organized. And the master bed was sooooo comfy and the shower was amazing never wanted to get out.

Highly recommend this property! Our stay was wonderful. The house is clean, cozy, and comfortable. It’s perfect for a girls weekend! The owners have thought of all the little things (e.g., bandaids, extension cords for the outlets next to the bed, board games, extra blankets, fully stocked showers, etc.). The house is nestled in a lovely wooded area with lots of greenery. It is a quick drive from downtown Galena. There aren’t blinds on the windows in the living room, so just don’t watch any scary movies before your stay and it’ll be just fine ;). You can’t go wrong with this pick!

Great house, loved all the little helpful notes throughout the house. One of the pictures made it look like there was a grill on the deck but there was not, very minor disappointment because there was a mini one in the storage closet. Very quiet neighborhood, excellent experience, would definitely stay again.
