Tamika, Thanks for your stay. I own most of the units but this one does indicate it is managed. Im not sure why that would be a concern in addressing any problem.

Fortunately, there is no need to taste our doors so your concern about licking it seems misplaced. Now for those reading we had extremely high winds approaching 100 mph they drove water onto the covered deck and caused a small leak in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms fortunately near the door. I believe those same wind gusts caused the front door to blow open. The door has a latch and 2 deadbolts so it could be closed but the latch was damaged. When informed of both issues Patrick told me it was no big deal Patrick put a screw into the damaged latch for the door and a garbage can under the small leak. I offered to send someone out and was told "No it's not a big deal". When Patrick left we fixed both issues properly. Had Patrick been more clear and informed me his need to "lick" the door" I would have been able to address that issue on that day immediately. We try our best and are always working on improving our properties to have an open door and tiny drip during hurricane strength winds cause a guest to downgrade a review to a 2 star review is ludicrous.

Gracie, I agree the circular stair case is a lot of fun for younger people but difficult for more senior guests.

Dianah, I'm very sorry for the rough start and scare. I never want to double-book anyone. The thought of someone coming to TN and expecting to stay in my property, then my error causing them not to have a place to stay keeps me up some nights. With multiple listing sites, it is a real concern to synchronize calendars. With your stay, I had just gone live with a much more robust property management system and getting everything set up was challenging. The purpose of the changeover was better management and control. Your week and the week after had some set up issues that took a while to iron out. Today, the new system is working great and allowing me to communicate better with my guests.

Grissel, Thanks for the comments. We are constantly working to improve our properties. We did have a few more than normal adjustments in November.

Shannon, Thanks for your stay. I count 3 issues. 1) Proximity to other properties. These are big lots. The house to the left sits on right part of its lot and ours more to the left. Thankfully, they are at an angle so there is privacy but I'll give you that if you are outside and they are loud you will hear them. The good news is there is lots of area behind all houses in this area. 2) Hot tub smell - We DRAIN hot tubs after every stay. That doesn't happen at your water parks or hotels. We also shock the last few cups sitting in the bottom. I'm not sure if you smelt chlorine or the scent of the hot tub cover due to the steam. 3) cleanliness - please contact me with specifics. Our housekeepers work very hard but they are human. I've debriefed them that there was a negative review and reminded them they are responsible for my guests first impression.

Ireland, I wish you had reached out about the towels. Perhaps you smelt lavendar. I have cleaning store them in sealed plastic with a lavendar scented sheet. We appreciate your stay and hope to have you again in the future.

Jason, Thanks for the kind words. As to bears, this seems like the most active year ever for the bears. We've identified what we believe to be 9 different bears in the area around that property.

Rachel, Thanks for your stay and review. As to dated, its a process to restore older homes. We put $6k in updates earlier this year and continue to work on updates. In the meantime you have 2 decks, great views, multiple bear sightings, flat screen TVs game room, comfy beds.

Ian, I don't promise anyone will see a bear but in June at this property, I'm shocked if you spent even an hour a day aware of the outside that you didn't see a bear or 2 or 3.

Christine thanks for your stay. I just took over management of the property and have been working on several improvements. While we think the drive can accommodate 2 cars, we are considering reworking to make it a bit wider in spring.

Allison, Thanks for your stay. This is a new property to our group and we are very excited. The owner & I are very much in tune to make this and all our properties the best they can be. In December we invested heavily in several improvements at this property. I keep a list of non-critical improvements and as cash flow and time allow our practice is to upgrade the properties.
