Was a lovely place, especially as it was the venue for my son's wedding. Everything was perfect, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Just an amazing 2 night stay. Thank you to everyone for their care and attention.

Excellent value for money and clean, comfortable room. We stayed with our dog and everyone was very friendly towards us and him. Close to the city centre and NCP cheaper than others. We ate next door at Woodside which was also excellent and made it very convenient for us to stay and eat out.

We had booked for 2 adults and 1 child. A standard double was available so we’d booked that as it said there were free cot/infant beds and our booking stated there was room for 3 people. Initially check in was fine. The lady was pleasant and efficient. Got to room and there was just a double bed, nothing for our 4 year old. When we went to enquire at the front desk, there had been a changeover in staff. We explained what we’d booked and asked if there was an infant bed. The receptionist said no they don’t have them and unfortunately we’d only booked a double. There was nothing they could do as they were fully booked. Ok fair enough, not her fault, as unhelpful as that was. Fortunately we managed to source an air bed so later on, went down to ask if we could have bedding. Same staff member was still on and it was as if we’d just asked her to donate a kidney. Couldn’t get a duvet because that was housekeeping and they were far, far too busy. It was apparently such an inconvenience for her, she was so reluctant to offer any help. I don’t think our request was unreasonable since we’d managed to find our own solution. When we were checking out the following morning, there was a door open with all the clean housekeeping towels, sheets etc. im really not sure what the problem was but apparently it was too much of an ask and we were made to feel bothersome even though our booking stated 3 people and the room was advertised with free cot/infant bed. Very disappointing. Pool was good.
