Within only a few hours of being here, ants invaded our festivities. They came from every crevice on the desk and are under the TV. They ruined our pizzas, cookies, and dips. We brought this to the attendant at 12:30am and she was very kind and placed a request for refund for us but said we needed to talk to management in the morning. Although she did offer to move us, we declined since we had wrapped Christmas presents in the room and moving at 1am was not in our plans. We talked with hotel staff at 9:30am and the man was very rude. He said “so what do you want me to do about it?” We asked for some partial refund considering the ants ruined all of our food we were still working on. He said he couldn’t do that and we needed to work it out with Expedia. He never apologized or showed any kind of compassion. We were in the hotel from 6pm 12/22 and had pizza delivered after 7pm. By midnight ants were everywhere. That should NEVER happen.

Right off of the turnpike, which is convenient, but there's not a whole lot around the area. The hotel was clean and mostly well maintained. The breakfast buffet was stellar and the staff was great. I guess my only complaint would be the fitness room. The stationary bike was broken, which made equipment limited. The TVs had been removed from the wall. There was no sanitary wipes to clean the equipment with. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again.

We were so disappointed in our room. This room was a handicap room (no offence). The bathroom had people's hair on the floor. No luggage rack but the worst of it all the floor had a dip in and once the A/C shut off. The room smelt like urine really really bad. Holiday you had this hotel rater 4 star 8 -1/2 approval ratings. I felt a hometown vibe. The area was small, quiet and convenient. The service was great. There seemed to be a glitch with my reservation but the staff rectified it quickly. The room was organized and well stocked with toiletries. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I'd have no problem staying at that express hotel again.

I have always liked Holiday Inn Express when I come to Irwin for class reunions or family gatherings. The rooms are clean. The staff is pleasant, and the breakfasts are very good. I only encountered one problem. My room was just 2 doors down the hall on the first floor. On 2 of the 4 nights that I stayed there, people arrived late at night, around midnight. They were talking loudly for quite some time. They weren't shouting or saying anything inappropriate, but just not taking into consideration that people would be sleeping at that time in rooms not far away from the lobby area. I wonder if a sign could be posted in a very noticeable area that reads "Please for our guests, lower your voices between the hours of 10 PM and 7 AM." Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who when disturbed from a sound sleep, can't get back to sleep for several hours.

Room and hallway, elevator areas were not cleaned regularly. Rooms weren’t serviced everyday. Had to go to main desk if towels, tp, Kleenex, soap,etc was needed. Staff was friendly if you could find them. Cracked window in room.

The room had hairs in the bathroom on floor in tub and sink . The shower curtain smelled awful and made me gag/throw up . Terrible experience for the $$ I got a room for alit cheaper in Johnstown for the rest of our trip and it was clean , to a t!

This is tucked away just off the tollway. Nice breakfast, everything very clean, several restaurants and shopping a very short drive away. Beds were especially comfortable and we slept well. No signs on the main road for the hotel, GPS did send us there, just follow the directions even if it looks wrong. Entrance road is just before the entrance ramp to the tollway.
