Very disappointing experience, especially for the price
I used to love staying at this hotel. It was always a pleasure to come back, with a fantastic reception team, complimentary minibar and the overall experience you would expect from a five-star hotel.
Unfortunately, my stay this year was a huge disappointment.
The rooms have been renovated, but nothing particularly impressive. Meanwhile, there is no bar, nowhere to enjoy a meal, and renovation work is happening everywhere, with workers and noise throughout the hotel.
What disappoints me most is the price. The hotel is still charging premium five-star rates while offering a very limited experience. I find it hard to understand how they can justify such high prices when so many facilities are unavailable.
I understand that renovations are necessary, but surely the prices should reflect the inconvenience and lack of services during this period.
After being a returning guest for years, I genuinely feel the hotel has lost much of what once made it special. At these prices, there are far better options in Sydney.
Extremely poor value for money.

"This hotel is not the least expensive hotel you can find in Sydney, but it is a great value. It is in an excellent location. You can walk to a lot of restaurants, museums, etc., and public transport (very easy to use in Sydney) is nearby. The room was thoughtfully laid out and equipped. I especially ..."
