Great hotel, great location. We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast, the only fault was the breakfast as a westerner burgers fried chicken and pork skewers and chips are not for us , no toast or scrambled egg in sight shame as this let us down.

Absolutely — here’s a more polished and professional version that still makes the concerns clear: I was disappointed with the level of service provided, particularly given the price of the stay. The room is not cleaned on a daily basis, and guests are expected to collect their own towels from the lounge area. Overall, the experience feels more like a self-service hotel, which I would not expect considering the amount being charged. In addition, the restaurant was not open during our stay. Guests who wanted breakfast were required to travel to another branch to have it, which was quite inconvenient. For the price, I expected a much higher level of service and convenience.

Cleanliness everywhere. Staff always helpful and friendly. Spectacular views from roof terrace. Very well situated for visiting Old Kyoto and the Gion area. Our room was equipped with all the essential amenities, and quiet. Thank you for a relaxing visit.
