Long weekend
Visiting for a wedding we had a lovely time. Cottage is a gem in a stunning location. So nice to sit at the bottom of the garden and catch the sun into the evening. Looking forward already to another visit when possible. Dog friendly.

The property is beautifully presented and warm. It is tiny and it is on a main road, the noise from which woke us. We enjoyed the summer house on a couple of sunny afternoons. Great location.

Weekend with friends
Enjoyed our stay in the cottage very clean, but did feel quite crammed with 4 adults, kitchen was very very small and really only able to fit one person in at time. Bedrooms and bathrooms very nice but downstairs smaller than we thought.

Family Break
Newly refurbished and cosy cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage was warm inside on arrival, appreciated this as we soon warmed up. Beds are really comfortable. Only thing we personally needed which was not supplied was a clothes airer. Being winter, we couldnt dry things outdoors. Otherwise the cottage has everything you need for your stay. The agent took his time getting back to you. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again.

We totally fell in love with the cottage not huge but had everything you needed, my son enjoyed being chief fire starter and winnie our pup totally made herself at home infront of it. Fabulous bathroom's the house looks recently renovated to a hire standard. Close to Bakewell and other places of inrerest we had a great walk up near the starion .

Lovely Cottage in the Peak
We stayed here with another couple and our two dogs. The cottage was cosy but never cramped. All the amenities were great and the dog box was an added bonus. The wood burner could do with an axe to make some smaller fire wood for starting the fire. The location is perfect with lots of walks on the doorstep and some lovely local pubs. The weekend we went featured lots of flooding and some better communication from the property manager on the check in day would have been good.

Lovely cottage, perfect location.
The cottage was lovely, everything you need, nicely decorated and very homely. The doggy welcome pack was well received by Bess, and the garden is great for dogs (and people). Grindleford is also a great location for exploring the area and further afield. A definte recommendation from us!

A wonderful "time out" break away.
Stunning cottage, a real home from home. Kitchen was compact and bijou but was kitted out very well. Fabulous walks literally from the front door. The weather was not particularly kind to us and our miniature dachshund who hates the rain but we made the best of it. Local pubs and nearby restaurants all warm and very welcoming. A thoroughly enjoyable 5 day break.

Lovely cottage, perfect location.
Lovely property with a totally secure garden, perfect for our Spaniel. Refurbished to a high standard, the living space and kitchen was smaller than I expected and it’s worth noting that there is not a microwave. The dog hamper was a lovely touch. Lots of road parking and a great location for exploring the Peaks.

Albert loved the garden
Cottage was well equipped but smaller living space than I thought. Bedrooms/bathrooms super. Weather was great so we could eat outside. Garden was lovely space. Only 2 of us so could have fitted inside. Not sure if 4 of you but then would probably eat out. Great location. Biggest issue was the main road. It was incredibly noisy all through the night. I think traffic had been diverted so would check before I booked

Beautiful
Property was in the centre of a lovely . Garden was perfect for our two dogs and totally enclosed. Cottage was finished to a very high standard, although it’s worth noting that the main road outside can be quite noisy with traffic, particularly at office times. Fortunately, we’re used to it so it didn’t bother us, Five star all the way and would recommend for a stay in the Peak District. A must visit is Chatsworth House a short dive away. Absolutely stunning.

We stayed here while visiting my son who is a student at Sheffield university. The cottage is lovely and refurbished to a very high standard. Perfectly located for the beautiful Peak District. Buses to Sheffield hourly - bus stop very close to cottage. Dogs very welcomed with bowls, bed, towel provided. Lovely garden with beautiful views I highly recommend. We will visit again.

The cottage had been refurbished to a very high standard. All the communication before the visit was quick and helpful. Bedrooms are ideal for two couples. The kitchen and indoor eating options are compact but (weather permitting) the outdoor table and chairs plus sofas and table are fabulous. Plenty of on street parking available. I'd be more than happy to stay again.

Amazing cottage
We stayed for 4 nights and didn’t use the car. The walks from the cottage and by the hourly bus were lovely. The cottage was truly home from home. Think it maybe abit cramped with 4 adults but for two or small family it’s ideal. The attention to detail both for us and the dog were appreciated with the items left, everything was lovely and clean and the outside garden was ideal

Great stay in Grindleford
The house was beautifully presented and very clean with comfy beds and good quality linen. It is a tiny terrace and the rooms are a little on the small side especially the compact kitchen but for four of us for a long weekend it was perfect. We didn't use the garden or summer house as the weather wasn't warm enough but they looked lovely with fantastic views. It's in a great position, Grindleford is well placed to visit Chatsworth, the Peaks and has a station which means trips to Manchester or Sheffield are easy to navigate without a car The Maynard in Grindleford and The Devonshire Arms in Baslow provided us with lovely food in convivial surroundings

Great short getaway
Overall an excellent property, excellent quality furnishings and good location. Excellent village shop. some reviews mention busy road but we didn't notice it. Only grumble, in kitchen edge of unit on right at eye level and stuck out and dog basket full of hairs. Will look to stay in one of their others properties as really impressed with property and area.

Lovely accommodation
The house was lovely as was the home manager, the only little issue we had was with the next door neighbour who didn’t appreciate us parking our car outside the property, all though we had been told by the house manager this was perfectly acceptable. Would definitely recommend to others and book again.. Many thanks.

All round excellent stay in the property. 2 couples and a small dachshund, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this accommodation, check in was easy, communication was quick and the property is even better than the pictures suggest. The bathrooms and bedrooms in particular are done to a very high standard. This is also perfectly placed for exploring this area of the Peak District
