“Had a really great stay here.. we had an initial issue with our room but the owners could not have been any more helpful and resolved it straight away even when we arrived late at night. We were moved into room one for our stay and it was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. I loved the easy access door codes which meant not having to remember a key! We stayed over a weekend and whilst being central in Gala was great, it was a little noisy at times with passing sirens and party goers! we had……

“We stayed for a week in February, and it was fabulous. The weather was a bit damp on and off, but the Grooms Bothy was always warm and welcoming. (I want underfloor heating!). It’s well equipped, close to Kelso for everything you need, and in a quiet and pretty location. The owners live next door, and a with their 2 little dogs are friendly and on hand if you need something. The welcome pack of milk, snacks and wine was a lovely touch. The Borders are lovely, we really enjoyed travelling……

“We could not believe our eyes when we walked into the stunning apartment within the Castle. The decor, the views, the warmth, it was everything that we could have wished for plus more! The town of Lauder is pretty and recommended pub and cafes were excellent. Even though it was cool and misty the views and experience is something we will treasure forever. which was a lovely tAbbey.”
