If you're going solo it's okay.
The hotel was actually pretty nice but it did not have an air conditioner, if I stayed there by myself I wouldn't of mind, but I had my girlfriend with me. The room is probably better if you were solo by yourself and it's right next to the beach so I don't think people would even be inside of the room for long and it doesn't have a TV which is even better for me.

The location was great, right by the town square and by the hot spots and restaurants. They cleaned the room every day and the man attending us was great. But there were several roaches. I know that the big ones were just from outside and the front door did not reach the bottom of the floor so they could easily get in but there was two small roaches that are infestation of the property and that was disgusting and made us very uncomfortable at the hotel.

perfect location - simple, but great value
Best location, a minute walk from the famous beach, cute lil pool but we never swam in it. Friendly staff. Small little room but it served its purpose! Definetly the best value on the island

It was as we expected. Clean room . Yet it was disappointing to have a very small room. Also we stayed 2 nights and they haven’t changed our towel. Shower had hot water but unfortunately no streaming

Great location & great value
Great location just a few steps from the town center square and a few steps from the beach. Rooms are good size, especially the queen rooms which have a small living area and a cocineta. There is one queen room #7 that has a very good ocean view on the top floor. Higher rooms are quieter as some lower rooms are by the street. Helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Small swimming pool is kept very clean. Rooms are also very clean. Mattress was super comfortable. A/c works ok. For those that need TV there are NONE! Also internet is very weak and sporadic due to one antenna serving the entire island. Good value room especially during low season.

Demasiado caro para lo que se ofrece, por la noche no hay nadie que pueda apoyarte, no hay teléfono para si quiera comunicarte a la recepción. En la primera noche hubo gente hasta la media noche en la piscina tomando y no se pudo reportar pues no hay nadie en la recepción. La ubicación excelente, la atención de la recepcionista muy buena, la camarista mantuvo todo muy limpio.

AVOID!!
The hotel had oversold the room we reserved, so they placed us in a cheaper room and warned that no refund would be given. Next day we were out and upon coming back we discovered the staff had moved all of our belongings without or consent to another room. They left my laptop and passport laying on a chair in the hallway for hours and USD$100 was missing from a wallet we left in the room. Staff refused to acknowledge any of this and also refused to contact the manager, they claim he shows up only on saturdays. STAY AWAY!

Best bed on the island
Super good location in a comfortable and good size apartment type room. The pool was nice, fresh and clean. The bed was so, so cozy and comfortable that we got a really good rest.

3 day getaway
We had a great weekend, we live in Playa del Carmen so we are no strangers to the coast life, but this great little island gives us an opportunity to relax. The hotel was perfectly located in the middle of town with proximity to everything, super clean and the staff ready to help. We loved our weekend there. And just a block from the hotel there is this great restaurant "La Parrilla de Juan" best steak ever and if you are into fish, he brings out the catch of the day, whatever he caught that morning. Left you a pic of the view of the sun setting from our room. #nofilter

Location is what it has going for it
We arrived later in evening theres a bell you ring, we were given a key that was extent of staff interaction. There is no WiFi but its seems most of the wifi on island is poor. The discount rooms are very small and overpriced also the bar in the next street causes noise not the electric kind which makes it tolerable use earplugs.

Cute hotel near the beach
The staff was very helpful when I accidentally booked for the wrong night. When I realized the mistake (moments after payment), we contacted Hotels.com, and they told me that they could only change my check-in dates if I were to pay for an additional night; they claimed it was the hotel's policy. My wife contacted the hotel, and within a few emails, the reservation had been changed to the correct date, with no extra charge to us. When we arrived, we were an hour or two earlier than the check-in time, but they let us check-in and get settled into our room. The room was cute with blue stone (maybe glass) details in the floor. There was separate area with kitchenette that had a gas cook-top and a cold refrigerator. I did notice that there were no pots or pans, or other cookware, but since we hadn't planned on using the cook-top, I didn't ask staff about it. We had a sitting area outside of our room with a couple of chairs and a table, as well as a hammock. The hotel is really close to the beach where you can swim, rent bikes, etc. We took a taxi from the ferry when we arrived, but we were able to fairly when easily walk to the ferry when we left. For us it was a little expensive, but if you are staying Isla Holbox, I would recommend giving this hotel a try.

The hotel is super cute and confortable, location is perfect for the beach and small downtown area. I really enjoyed my stay here, it has a small refrigerator and stove. The only thing that i disliked was that they did not have an iron in the room and when i asked the receptionist for one she said they didnt have one :( so i ended up wearing wrinkled clothes, also Wifi did not work at all i believe it was down not sure why. The pool was small but very nice. I wish they would offer bike rentals that way we didnt have to walk to the beach to get one. The young lady who works there was really friendly and helpful. p.s beds matress is super duper comfy!!! Oh and they also have a hamock. bRINg mosquito repellant!!

We visited this property last year while we where on HOLBOX and loved it, there is everything that you want on the property pool,restaurant,ocean views ect... plus very close to the beach and close to town as well...Loved it so much we booked it yesterday for this year.....no reviews yet on VRBO but all kinds on TRIPADVISOR so no woories book this place you won't be disappointed.....Cheers and enjoy Holbox

Great location a few seconds from beach & right in town. Rm was large but bath & living area/kitchenette not air conditioned & can get hot, even with ceiling fan. I wouldn't want to use the sleeper sofa for that reason. Dishes provided were filthy upon check in. Guy at desk speaks no English at all so be aware of that. Make sure they know when you will be arriving as there isn't always someone at the check in closet (its not really a room). Pool was cloudy. I know this is an eco friendly hotel but we definitely needed sheets changed after a spill and they weren't changed - just made up anyway. Our faucet leaked because the knobs were like the ones you have outside your house you hook up a hose to - very hard to turn. The inexpensive fixed showerhead doesn't rotate at all and our was positioned too close to the door so the bathroom floor was always soaked and often it even ran out into the living room. That isn't exactly saving water & being eco friendly when you have to use many towels to clean it up daily. Your hammock is on the hall shared with other rooms so it isn't private. Owners dog was lurking around as we ate at the restaurant downstairs and went to the bathroom right next to our feet while eating which didn't exactly make for a pleasant meal. If I got a great deal I might stay here again but otherwise I will either upgrade to something nicer or downgrade to the bare minimum room depending on the purpose of my trip.
