Location superb, close to jr n tram... lots of shopping n food around. Onsen just ok... amenities ok. We came fr vischoo kyoto, and finf the former bf alit better overall. Overall, its above average

Fantastic set piece Japanese breakfast if that’s what you’re after. Rooms well designed and relatively large. But for all the focus on food, onsen, etc, don’t neglect the basics, like not leaving hair in the bedrooms and cleaning the walls properly. Cleanliness a definite negative. The design of the hotel with the small floating reception area also made it feel somewhat impersonal in my opinion.

Right next to the train station and all the bus terminals, shopping and tons of restaurants in the station. The hotel is clean and the staff was very helpful. The room is the standard size but the bathroom is spacious. A 7-11 is on the first floor of the hotel and there is a super market at the station.

One of the more pricey options for accommodations in the area. They provided a shuttle service to and from the alpine station, which is great, as the walking is not was a realistic option as from what I could tell, there was no walkable path to and from the hotel from the station. During my stay, there was not much around the hotel, so we were mostly confined to within the hotel during our stay. Our room was for 4 people and was fairly large. Our room did not have beds but futons instead, which I personally did not like but others did. The breakfast and dinner we got was very nice and most unique meal I experienced during our trip, providing great traditional Japanese food with great variety for both meals. The public baths here were the best during our trip. The baths were large with both indoor and outdoor baths. The Outdoor baths provided great a great view of the mountain which was very nice. they provided yukatas for guests but even the largest men sizes they had were too small for me, but my shorter family members said they were nice. Staff provided explanations and set our schedule for our next days trip to the mountain which was nice. Our stay here was a little pricey, but for the dining experience, good Onsen and location, our stay here was well worth it.
