"Good hotel for a short stay in Taiping. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was adequate—comfortable bed, small bedside table, small desk, TV, a plastic chair, small bathroom with a hot water shower. No fridge, but that’s not a big deal. The hotel is right in the center of town, which has many really great food stalls everywhere. You won’t be eating anything more than snacks in the room, trust me. I liked my stay at this hotel."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Kampung Matang Jambu?
While Kampung Matang Jambu itself is a smaller, more rural area, the best place to stay for visitors seeking quality and convenience will be in the nearby town of Taiping, particularly around the Lake Gardens area.

Taiping Lake Gardens, one of Malaysia's oldest and most beautiful public parks, forms the heart of the most desirable lodging area. This district offers a peaceful environment with lush greenery, walking paths, and views of the lake. Many of the higher-top hotels are situated either directly facing the Lake Gardens or within a short walk of them, providing easy access to nature and local attractions.

Couples looking for a serene and relaxing getaway will appreciate the hotels around Taiping Lake Gardens. These properties often provide comfortable stays with amenities like outdoor pools and well-maintained grounds, superb for unwinding after exploring the town. The proximity to the gardens allows for leisurely strolls and peaceful mornings.

For families, staying near the Lake Gardens is also an excellent option due to the variety of recreational activities available. The area offers swan boat rides on the lake, a playground for children, and the Taiping Zoo and Night Safari are just a short drive away.
When is the best time to go to Kampung Matang Jambu?
The best time to go to Kampung Matang Jambu is during the dry season, which typically runs from May to September. This period offers the most pleasant weather for exploring the area.

During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and lower humidity, making outdoor activities more comfortable. The consistent sunshine is ideal for enjoying the natural attractions and cultural sites without the interruption of heavy downpours.

Travelers looking for a relaxed experience will appreciate these months. The clearer skies and comfortable temperatures are superb for leisurely walks through the village or exploring the nearby natural reserves. It's an excellent time for couples seeking a tranquil getaway.

While drier, it's still advisable to pack lightweight clothing and stay hydrated, as temperatures remain warm year-round.
