Find hotels in Kastri from $51

The best area to stay in Kastri is the main village itself, offering convenient access to the harbor and local amenities.

The village of Kastri is built around a horseshoe-shaped bay, with most accommodations, eateries, and shops lining the waterfront road. It's a compact area, making it easy to walk from one end to the other. The harbor is a central point, where fishing boats and small yachts dock, and where many tavernas have outdoor seating.

For couples, staying in the main village provides a relaxed and romantic setting. You can enjoy strolls along the waterfront, dine at restaurants with sea views, and easily access boat trips to nearby coves or islands. The evenings are generally quiet, great for unwinding.

Families will also find the main village suitable due to its convenience. Everything is within easy reach, from bakeries for breakfast to the small, calm beaches within the bay.

The best time to go to Kastri is during the shoulder seasons of late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October).

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly warm and sunny, ideal for exploring the natural beauty and archaeological sites without the intense heat and larger crowds of mid-summer. You'll find the water warm enough for swimming, and outdoor activities like hiking and visiting ancient ruins are very comfortable. These months also generally offer better value on accommodations and flights.

For travelers looking to enjoy the beaches and water sports, the summer months of July and August offer the warmest sea temperatures and the most sunshine. However, this is also peak season, meaning more visitors and higher prices.
