Not bad value at all.
Ok rooms, in a courtyard setting, quite basic but clean and a comfortable bed, with a great shower. Breakfast was amazing, served hot to the table, just a shame it was on a cold plate!!

Engaged with Staff before I left to say I was running really late - they accommodated me by arranging a key safe, provided great directions to the key, parking and my room - also provided a personal number for me to ask for help if I struggled. In the morning - the breakfast team helped by making me a bacon sandwich to take on the go as I was due at meetings. Lovely quiet place, looked out onto field of horses. Would stay again - really clean, lovely and warm, clean, comfy.

The Woolpack Inn
Enjoyable stay in rooms at back of main building. Looks like my room had recently been refurbished and some others were undergoing works. Good night's sleep. Food excellent and service very friendly and helpful. Short distance from A14 and parking plentiful. If ever needing accommodation in this area again will return.

Looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful for an overnighter whilst visiting my elderly parents. Got a great deal on this place, so didn't expect much. Pleasantly surprised, great pub, fantastic patio area, good range of beers. The food was good, room was more than adequate and really comfortable (and cool, even though a fan was also provided). Breakfast amazing, neither the Mrs nor I could finish ours, which is a first for us. Highly recommended.

There were a lot of uneven steps, which need to be made safer. The food was very good, tasty, we enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The heating in the room didn’t work on arrival & the staff provided a fan heater. In the bathroom there was mould in the shower & the shower head wasn’t affixed to the supply pipe which led to water hitting the ceiling. Generally poor maintenance.

The Woolpack Islip
A nice overnight stay - accommodation is in chalet style rooms quite basic furnishings but comfortable bed - very clean . Pleasant view of horses in field in back window . Wool pack is very nice and welcoming lively pub ; I arrived on quiz night ) - good breakfast . Great if you are bored of hotels and want something different - also quite good value .

Chalets are fit for purpose but in need of some TLC. Restaurant and bar are very clean and a superb range of meals, reasonably priced. Staff are hit and miss, it depends which day you visit. some staff will talk to you whilst others struggle to even say hello and you are left feeling like an intruder! Would probably stay here again though.

Could not fault the food, service and politeness. Disappointed with the accommodation as room is in much needed refurbishment inside and outside. Had to open windows on arrival as smelt musty and damp inside. Mouldy mastic around the bath/shower area. Toilet moved when you reached round for toilet paper and handle on chair in room was dusty.
