This was the filthiest place , I have ever seen. Dirty, used silverware in the drawers. Big disgusting stains on couch and bedsheets. The stove had thick crusts of food stuck on it. The fridge had lots of mold in it (I was told it wasn't there for use anyways). There wasn't enough water to clean the dishes. I wasn't expecting a luxury experience, but for the money I can definitely expect a clean place. We cut our 2 night stay short and left after one. After pointing out the conditions to the owner, he did apologize, but was only concerned about a bad review. Sorry Mark, but we work very hard for our money and hope to keep some other people from making the same mistake.

This was a very unique experience and one well worth doing! The host, Mark, was great at communication and setting expectations. I think he said it best when he mentioned that it was basically camping on a boat. I would highly recommend taking the option to rent the dinghy for transportation to and from the boat. This was a fantastic experience and one we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Great stay
Great couple of nights! It’s an experience - how often do yo get to take a dingy boat out across the water to your accommodations. It’s not the Hilton, but a good comfortable private setting. Mark was very accommodating with everything.

Fun place to stay!
Great experience! The boat was nice, Mark was the best - very attentive and accomodating, and was quick to help with any issue we had. It is just as much an adventure as a place to stay, so keep that in mind! The boat location is very peaceful and it's convenient for exploring the Keys. We would stay here again!

We had a nice time. It was fun to stay on the boat for two nights and sit on the deck and watch the sunset. It was also a good location for exploring the area. Mark is a good host. The boat could use some updates but Marks post says -- it's not the Hilton. The marinas public bathhouse and laundry was in the process of being remodeled or something as it wasn't always available.

The boat is nice for the price and Mark is a good host. We took one of Mark's boat tours which was the highlight of the 2 day stay. If you like to kayak and take his boat tour you will be satisfied. Mark will do what you want like, go swimming on the sand bars, fishing or a sunset cruise around. If you want to just hang on the boat and have a great view and surrounding amenities then, not so much right now. There is construction all around you.

This was not as advertised. It’s filthy, the air conditioners barley put out cold air because they were so full of dirt and thick build up, they were duct taped sloppily into the ceiling so there were hundreds of mosquitoes that got in and bit us all night, there is no power in the boat the electric is powered by extension cords from the trailer lot that he plugged lamps into. The canoe has no seats, actually it did but they were broken plastic pieces in the floor of it. The kayak was half sunk in the front of the boat unusable, when the sun went down the roaches came out, the bites on our bodies were from bed bugs, the place smelled like a sewer, I’m sure because the black water tanks weren’t emptied on a regular basis. The restrooms for public use were in a shipping container behind a huge metal trash container. After you walk through the piles of rocks, rotting lumber, a back hoe parked in the lot, you needed a code for the ONLY restroom for everyone to use which is not cooled because the ac is broken, and the only shower is full of the regular full time residents soaps, and body puffs hanging in it. The light to the bathroom was out. The amenities were plastic bags of old condiments, plastic ware from others before us, a cooler mark put ice in, a gallon of crystals water, and used shampoo in the shower. The head or toilet smelled like a sewer , worse than a portapotty and thus making the entire 10ft living space stink like death, moldy as well. We had two towels.

Good times!
Had a nice time staying a couple of nights. Like the overview states, it's not the Hilton. If you have stayed on boats or camped in campers you will understand what to expect. If you enjoy staying places in that manner you won't have issues with the bath house, parking, etc. If you are high maintenance and expect valet parking and a bell hop this trip is not for you. That said, Mark did offer to help with our bags and picked us up on his golf cart, so maybe just don't be high maintenance 😁 Mark was friendly and very accommodating. If you are planning on chartering a boat I would recommend checking with Mark. Price was reasonable and trip was great! Laid back and safe. Next time I get a chance to be in this part of the world again I will check here before I book somewhere else.

Mark, the owner was always available to answer my questions and give suggestions regarding what to do locally. I will definitely be staying here again.

Camping on a boat
We were expecting an older boat at a marina that would provide a fun stay at a reasonable price. What we got was basically camping on a boat. As we drove to the marina, the owner lived nearby so we coordinated meeting at the boat dock. What we saw was a partially collapsed dock that left the boat a little too far from stable footing, like a 2-foot step over open water. A little unnerving. Dock was partially collapsed, so extra sections were dropped on top so it was almost level. Not safe, especially at night, since nobody wanted to use the on-board head toilet and used marina restroom as "least-worst" option. Boat itself was an older model with no engine, power and water from shore. Well the first night, dish sink only had cold water, no hot water, and the next night it had no water at all. Not sure why, but we just used bottled water. Owner did provide us free use of a cooler with lots of ice, and a case of water which we appreciated. The 'condiments' were packets of ketchup, mayo, mustard and soy sauce from unknown restaurants, of unknown age. We didn't use any. Bedding and towels were comfortable and clean, but the overall cleanliness was not up to my other half's standards. The sink in the bathroom worked ok except no hot water. The head was what you'd get on an older boat, and nobody even tried to use it. Shower on board was not used. Sleeping is in two areas, back and front. Kids took the back, we took the front. The outside 'hatchway' lid had a few gaps, so mosquitoes were getting in to main seating area. For kids, I rigged up a big towel in front of their bed opening to keep mosquitoes out (kids couldn't sleep until then). Up front the bed area had a door, and tons of movies. Small gaps in the top hatch let in a couple mosquitoes. After an overnight rainstorm, the tied-up kayaks had wedged between the boat and the dock, pushing the rear of the boat away from the dock another foot, so it was about 3 feet to get to the dock. I had a lot of trouble trying to get a box off of the boat, since I didn't want to drop it in the lagoon and had to jump while carrying. Dock was bad. Owner had offered a fishing pole, but the tiny tackle box was full of rusty water so unusable. Free use of Kayaks. Overall value: 5/10 since it was holiday season so everything is more expensive. But I expected something more than camping on a boat for the price we paid. We were close to abandoning after the first night but we stuck it out. Fix the dock.

The boat was ok. It is a boat..not anything else really. It was clean. Comfy beds. The actual bathroom is really not on the boat. At least the bathroom that was onshore was clean and nice condition. The surrounding area/ marina could use upgrade..or at least a haul out of sunken/ thrashed boats would help. No ammenities/ resturants not walkable distance. Mark was helpful, and was responsive. If you are looking for some " rustic" this is it.

Staying on a boat is a unique experience. The surrounding area was peaceful. There were lots of little touches like toiletries and tea/coffee so you’re covered if you’ve forgotten anything. We did have issues with the mosquitoes with being right on the water so make sure to take lots of repellant.

RV park
If you enjoy the rv park setting this will work for you. The boat is comfortable but is by no means in tip top shape. The park leaves a bit to be desired (don’t forget quarters if you intend to do laundry). Being right on the water was the biggest perk. Used the canoe and paddle boards a lot. Manatee Bay did not disappoint there was a big fellow there we all got to see. Mark was a great host super easy to get along with. Would do it again!

The surroundings brought our review from a 4 to a 3
We were looking for a different experience and I think we got that. The boat was good. The inside was very nice and comfortable as long as you were ok with doing little cooking. Which we were. The biggest drawback was the surrounding area. You had to walk through a very old rundown RV Park to get to the boat Although the bathhouse was very clean and relatively new. The boatyard on one side of the canal and the old RV Park on the other is what brought our review from a 4 to a 3. The owners were great. Very accommodating and gracious.

This was an unfortunate time when the marina was under construction, however the boat is no longer at the marina :-), it's anchored out in a beautiful cove where we're consistently getting five star reviews!!! Oftentimes people would say they'd leave higher ratings if they could :-)

Great host, great boat, okay location.
I'll start with the host (Mark) is a great guy. Before, during, and after the stay he was very good with communication. He went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. When we met him in person we could tell he is just a very decent person. The boat itself was very clean and stocked with all the basics needed to enjoy a our stay (kitchen supplies, bathroom, comfortable beddinng, and a selection of DVD's including Captain Ron). The only negative from our trip had nothing to do with Mark or the boat. There were 2 or 3 boats that had recently sunk in the marina from a severe storm and for whatever reason the management of the marina decided to haul the wreckage out of the water during our visit. Mark was exceptionally apologetic for something that wasn't his fault and went out of his way to accommodate us for it. He hooked us up with local discounts and great advices for places to go and things to see. He even offered us a deal on a sunset cruise if we wanted. Like I said before, Mark is a very solid dude. After we went out to dinner and stopped in a couple local stores we realized that Mark is pretty well know and very well liked in Key Largo. We don't normally stay on a boat for vacation and this was a bit of an adventure. If you are up for a different style of accommodation for your next trip to the Keys I recommend staying on Mark's boat. If we head back to the Keys we will give the boat adventure another try as Mark's hospitatlity was well worth it.

We really enjoyed Mark’s boat. Mark was a great host that always responded promptly - even for questions totally unrelated to his property. We have always wanted to stay on a boat and his boat was older, but a great 4-night stay. The marina owner has a pretty unkept area in the front, but Mark’s areas were clean. He has a few kayaks and such that were a fun perk. If I ever have a reason to stay in Key Largo again, I would ask Mark to stay in that same boat.

Mark was very kind to accept us on our late arrival! He waited up and showed us the ropes upon our arrival. The boat was very clean and everything you's expect from the photos. We watched mullet and other fish swim by the boat in the mornings and took the paddle board/kayaks out a few times. Mark was quick to text back with good suggestions on things we had questions about. If your low maintenance and looking for an adventure, I highly recommend.

The yacht was very nice, quiet, and spacious. The area in the marina where the yacht was docked was a bit disappointing. Not much of a view from the yacht and there was a lot of construction rumble to climb through to get to the bathrooms.

We were in the Keys for a regatta and had fairly busy days but arrived to a comfortable and clean setting every night. Mark was very friendly and readily available. Two of us were quite comfortable . Capacity for 3-4 is really if you are traveling with 2 small kids or I could see this feeling quite cramped- it is a boat. Marina is quite protected so no sense of rolling for those who fear seasickness, I like being rocked to sleep so missed it a bit but slept like a rock. Lock on inside when you are tucking in for the night and on the outside to secure your belongings when going out. Toilet is a bit tricky but it’s what is available on boats/RV’s so no big deal for the boating/camping savvy. Overall had a great experience and would go again . My daughter even commented it was better than some of the hotel rooms we had seen in the keys!

The Marina is a work in progress due the last hurricane. Overall, you can tell a lot has been done.
We spent 4 nights here. Everything we needed was there as promised. The beds were very comfortable, the ac's nice and cold. Loved the back deck where we hung out every night. Met a lot of fun people on the property (the neighbors Bo and Daryl super fun!) . The owner Mark was amazing and dropped by daily to see if we needed anything and was very accommodating. We'll definitely come back next year.

Memories to last a lifetime
We spent several days on a couple of Marks boats and enjoyed the experience of living on a boat in the Keys. The fishing off the back of the boats were fantastic. We had the opportunity to enjoy the paddle board which was a fun benefit. Plenty of room for a family of three. Met several cool people at the marina. Mark was a top notch host and extreamy accomidating. If your are looking to experiance simple Florida key life style this is a fantastic adventure you shouldn’t miss.

The property was different from our norm BUT was great. Mark was the best! Very informative, resourceful, and willing to take us wherever we wanted to go. His boat is loaded with EVERYTHING you may need OR want. The neighborhood is friendly and never once did we feel in danger of our surroundings. We had such a great vacation to Key Largo and could not have asked for a better place to stay! Mark was a great host and gave us several recommendations of places to go, do, see, and eat! We enjoyed a fishing trip one day and his prices were very reasonable for the area. The marina feels very private and had a quiet homey feel to it. The boat was exactly as expected based on the description and the customer reviews. Any issues we had while we were there were quickly resolved! We look forward to staying here again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable and unique option when visiting the Florida Keys!!

Wonderful yacht that's fully stocked & has all the extras you would want without a huge price tag!
Great time. Mark's hospitality was incredible. He gave us lots of information about the area and overall about things to do in the Florida Keys. The yacht is the perfect way to go for the laid back traveler. It has everything you'd need and lots of extras...kayak, pale board and snorkel gear included! We enjoyed drinks while watching the stars. Simply wonderful!

Marc was very nice and suggested a great place for lunch. I wouldn’t have more than 2 people in the boat maybe 3 just for spacing. The shower is quite small however the grounds has a shower and a bathroom you can use. Marc provided us with a cooler with ice, and it was lovely. We also took advantage of the fridge and microwave. We loved the paddle board and took it out into the mangroves. There were bugs and misquotes however Marc had bug spray! The place was clean and comfortable. Marc was very nice and accommodating! Quite pleasant air conditioning worked wonderfully! Quiet spot! Non traditional type of stay! Thanks Marc!

Enjoyed our stay! Owner was very helpful and easy to reach. We were able to drink our coffee with manatees our last morning! The port-o-potty is a 3 step process and created a “smell” of sorts, but if you are used to camping and boat life it was extremely minor!!! The boat was clean, quaint, and a perfect size for two people! Thank you for everything Mark!! We will be back!

Are you ready for adventure? Then Book This Boat!
Mark was the most awesome host ever! He met us at the boat and went over the "How to's" with us and he is very friendly. We took 2 of our grandkids and they will always remember this vacation since it was so different as opposed to staying in a hotel. They were both so excited! The whole marina could probably hear the giggles and laughter coming from the boat. Although the boat looks a little worn on the outside, don't be alarmed. The inside was comfortable and cozy and perfect for the 4 of us. We slept very well since the bedding was superb. Mark even took us to the marina's swimming pool after a hot day exploring the keys. We definitely will be back and so happy we found this jewel!

The stay on the boat was comfortable and located near easy access to nearby places to visit.
We enjoyed our stay at Key Largo. The boat was clean and comfortable. Mark took us out on a boat ride where we were able to do a little snorkeling. We also saw school of dolphins which was very exciting. We do recommend this simple and affordable lodging for travelers!

Cute Little Boat
Mark is great! He was in contact with me prior to the trip and was there when we pulled in. We had a full schedule of things to do, so we didn't get to talk with Mark as much as I would have liked. He suggested good places to eat and asked us regularly if we needed anything. When we did, like bug spray, he brought it to us quickly! The boat is small, much like RV living. We had a family of 4 with lots of gear, so for us it was a tight fit. For two adults, this would be perfect! The kayak and paddleboard were in good shape and the kids and I took a little jaunt up into the mangroves...something you would have to pay a good sized rental fee for in town. All in all, it was a great deal for what we needed...just a place to stay with a good nights sleep. The bed was comfy and quiet at night (you could not hear any highway traffic, which is a huge plus for us!). Thanks Mark! We are hoping to be back again one day :-)

Amazing
As newly weds we had a great time. Mark treated us with respect and was friendly. He was helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We had fun fishing on his charter with him and his girl friend. We caught a shark and other fish. It was worth the trip. While on the boat mark took us out to an amazing restaurant on the water. Mark made great recommendation for place to go and eat. It was quiet and cozy. Overall A fantastic place to vacation.

Great Place & People!
Had a great stay in Key Largo. Mark was a great host and the boat was very nice! Cozy, clean, and all you need for a great getaway! We were invited to join a bbq our first night with Mark and his friends, went to some recommended local restaurants and bars (town is about 15 min) the next day, and Mark took us out on his boat for a little fishing and tiki bar hopping the third day. Felt like we got a real local experience!! Thanks, Mark and Marian!

Amazing vacation!
The boat exceeded all of our expectations! It was very clean and cozy and had everything that we needed. It was a great and quiet location. Mark was so nice and helpful the whole time! We will definitely stay here again.
