The best of everything
Everyone warned us to expect a little rain while in Kauai...well rain it did; 10+ inches in a day! Not to worry with this beautiful condo, the porch is deep enough to sit and watch a storm. Absolutely fantastic view, and so close to the ocean you can enjoy the roar! Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location and expertly provisioned accommodation! Would definately return to this property, i cant believe there is anything better on the island, as we did drive the entire island!

This unit is lovely. The view and the setup are just as wonderful as they appear in the pictures. Everything is very well maintained. The location is perfect, with great walking trails and routes, and access to the nearby Hyatt restaurants, etc. One caution however, the WiFi is awful. It drops constantly, so if you need to do any work (especially early in the day) or Zoom or Facetime your family, be prepared to be frustrated. We were in contact with the Property Manager about this but they didn't fix it during the 6 days we were there.

Shhhhhh..... no one should know about this place.
For those of us who have stayed here, we should keep this a closely held secret! Sunrises are stupendous! Great pool, outdoor grills, easy parking, lots of friendly old folks (like us). Location is terrific, walk to Grand Hyatt for dinner, 4-minute walk to beach, elevated view of whale performances. Unit is spacious, well supplied, comfortable, clean. Prop Mgrs. are responsive and helpful. To those considering this place, be forewarned, there are 32 steps up and down w no elevator (got a huge suitcase? good luck with that), no A/C in living area, no view of sunset, only sunrise that will overwhelm you, dozens of hungry birds cackling, friendly neighbors you might not want to talk to, shopping over 1 MILE away! We want to stay here longer and need your week. Thanks for reading this "review"!

Breath taking views
We have stayed at the Grand Hyatt next door many times, but we always looked at this place when we would take walks and commented how nice it would be to stay there. When I saw it on VRBO we decided to give it a try. AMAZING place. The views are incredible and the breeze that comes through if you open all the windows is enough to keep the place cool. I was a little worried it would get warm on the 3rd floor, but that was not an issue. The place had everything that you needed in the kitchen as far as pots, pans and dishes. It would be nice if they had some spices there since that is something you don’t really want to buy for a one time use. They did have salt and pepper but that was all. Our daughter and her family stayed at the Grand Hyatt and it was so nice to have a place for them to come and eat meals.

AC in primary bedroom a definite benefit. notes: - 3rd floor accessed by stairs only - no basic cooking supplies beyond salt and pepper so you'll need to bring/buy your own. - cooking tools, etc are quite good - we even made use of the rice cooker 👏

Simply Beautiful!
This was a great place and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. It is located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator, which can make getting too difficult if you have a lot of luggage, but it is completely worth it. Walking distance to a couple beaches and only a short drive to some great shopping centers. Also a great base camp if you plan on doing anything with the Na Pali Coast or Waimea Canyon / Kokee State Park. It is a bit of a trek to the East Coast and even further to the North side, but worth every penny if you are planning anything for the South / West side of the island.

View from condo is spectacular, it was very clean and well appointed, bed was comfortable, building was well taken care of and in a quiet location.We enjoyed our stay but feel that it should be noted in description that there are 3 flights of stairs to get to condo and no elevator - getting luggage and groceries up was difficult but not impossible.

The location was perfect
My expectations were exceeded when we arrived at this property. The grounds were well kept, there was plenty of parking, the condo was spacious and the view was pure heaven. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and we had everything we could have needed to relax and be comfortable. We each had our own large bathroom but we did not utilize the second bedroom while there. It did seem hot in there but I didn’t look to see if it had a portable ac unit like the master bedroom did. We were comfortable in our master bedroom with the ocean breeze coming through the screen and the ac unit on. We loved sitting out on the patio in the early mornings and evenings and watching the waves crash against the shore. We absolutely would love to bring our kids back to this condo some day to enjoy it with us too.

A Wonderful Place
Outstanding location and view. We had a wonderful time experiencing the beach, the pool and incredible sunrise each and everyday. The unit is quiet and truly enjoyable. Steps to the beach, golf course and amenities at nearby resorts. The unit is located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator, so this can present a challenge to visitors. The 2 bedrooms are generous in size and the kitchen was perfect for our needs. We would definitely return however there were several things we noted that we’d recommend be attended to for the enjoyment of all: the unit main bedroom needs a new high quality mattresses asap, the seat pads on the dining room chairs are worn out as are those on the two recliners in the living room. Cleaning supplies were missing. We were also told there was a fitness center nearby but we couldn’t find it. Outside there were spiders and spiderwebs all over the staircase. We called and someone came but they really didn’t do much. This should be addressed promptly and permanently. This is such a lovely place. We hope to enjoy it again in the not so distant future. We very much appreciated the opportunity to stay there. Mahalo!

Perfect Vow Renewal Location
This was our third stay at Poipu and first at the Poipu Sands condos, this was such a great location for enjoying the southern shore, access to Waimea Canyon, shoreline hikes and restaurants. The condo was perfect for our stay, clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, and convenient to Shipwreck rock and beach. 5 Stars!

Wonderful rest at Poipu
This was a wonderful place to stay. Perfectly clean, all the necessities, lovely decor and a magnificent view from the balcony that we ate every breakfast and almost every supper on. Breezes through the bedroom and lulling sound of the ocean at night from the screened door. Couldn’t ask for more. PS no elevator to the 3rd floor for seniors like us- but only 32 steps and the rental agents arranged a nice and strong young man to help carry up our bags when we arrived. In summary, can’t wait to return.

When we walked in the door after a long day of traveand saw the view—green, green lawn stretching to the crashing ocean waves and curved, never crowded, easy-to-walk-to Shipwreck Beach—we gasped. This is the nicest place we've ever stayed. Spacious and spotless, well-equipped kitchen, coolers, beach chairs, an umbrella...Woke each morning to a gorgeous sunrise over the oean. Wonderful walking paths accessed right outside. Not far to Poipu Beach, where we snorkeled, saw dozens of sea turtles drag themselves up on the beach at sunset, and even monk seals.

Our condo was amazing, all the amenities one could ask for the views were amazing from living area and master bedroom. The only item I wish was there was a pair of inexpensive binoculars.We would definately stay again!!

The lanai with the view was amazing. We had a perfect view of the sunrise everyday as we woke up. Great location right next to the Hyatt and their pool, not far from shopping, restaurants and activities, but still removed from everything and peaceful.

This condo is awesome! Very spacious, lots of amenities, and fabulous view. After coming to Kauai for over 30 years, I would definitely stay here again. Love the Poipu area and this condo was a wonderful place of relaxation. Highly recommend it!

We stayed in this top-floor condo for a week in late 2021. It was fantastic. The unit is impeccably maintained and commands a beautiful view of Shipwreck Beach, which is just a few steps away. The master bedroom has sliders that open up to an ocean view, allowing us to enjoy the crash of the surf from the very comfortable king bed. The bathrooms are stocked hotel-like with soaps, shampoo and conditioner, as well as a full complement of white cotton bath towels and washcloths. My wife loved the cushy bathrobes. The kitchen, too, is well stocked, with coffee maker (there were even filters in the cupboard), a electric kettle, pots and pans and sharp knives. The stemware includes red and white wine glasses, martini glasses and champagne flutes. The flat also comes with terrific beach chairs and umbrella, which makes it easy to set up shop at the beach below. Would definitely rent this unit again if we stay on the southern end of Kauai. Thanks!

Fabulous condo, well appointed and perfect location! Would suggest that they stock with a few spices because it’s a great kitchen to cook in, but other than that no complaints. Great walking and beach access next to the grand Hyatt and golf nearby at the Poipu Bay Golf Club. As other renters have mentioned, it is a two bedroom condo so not sure why they advertise it as one. Unfortunately communication with the property manager is non-existent once on location. I left two messages without reply. Fortunately nothing urgent but frustrating nonetheless with TV and Wi-Fi issues.

The unit has all the things you need for a visit to the island; beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, board games, in unit washer/dryer, kitchen stocked with all the utensils you could ask for. This is on top of the awesome view and proximity to food, shopping, and beaches. Would definitely book this unit again in the future!

Wow!
Wow! This place was fancy and roomy. Much more than I expected, I'm ready to move in! The views were incredible, especially at sunrise and during storms with rainbows. It was conveniently located next to the Hyatt and its admenities. Because of its size, it was the gathering place for friends and family staying in the area. The online description was not accurate. I thought I was renting a one bedroom. If I had know it had a second bedroom, I would have invited another couple. The only negative--3 flights of stairs, but its worth it!

Gorgeous ocean view, nice lanai. When the tradewinds are blowing, it's divine, but when they stop, it's stuffy. There's AC in the main bedroom though, and the unit has its own washer/dryer. The unit has 2bed/2ba, and is very beautifully decorated. Kitchen is fantastic. Just be aware that you have to lug your bags up 3 flights of stairs. The unit is right next to the Grand Hyatt, so the area is very luxurious and has a great beach and adjoining walking path. Problem: When we wanted to extend our stay, we tried contacting the concierge/management 5x (it was the number they gave us), but never got a single call back so we moved over to the Grand Hyatt!

Nice property, but no air conditioner, so it's damp. My 2nd night, it had rained that day and I sat on the couch and my butt was wet with water. I had to go buy a humidifier which worked wonders! I hope the owners leave it in the condo for others to use

Overall, great condo & location, incl. view of beach etc. Place is immaculate, well furnished with towels, soaps, beach stuff, laundry; rooms/furnishings are comfortable & spacious. Plenty of activities nearby, incl. markets for food. A bit pricey, in my opinion. Minor complaints: advertised as 1 br, but actually is 2 br/2 ba (not sure 2 adults need the second br or ba); lock box for key not easy to use (should be replaced); I panicked about directions to and into place hoping we would receive info 48-72 hrs pre-arrival (info did come 24 hrs prior); TV remote in living room a bit finicky In summary, I would definitely use this condo again. Island is a garden, as advertised! JH, Spokane, WA.

The condo was amazing!! I would definitely stay here again. It’s an updated condo, felt like staying at a nice hotel. The view from the balcony is beautiful! It was quiet. I can’t wait to go back! I can’t say anything bad about it, it was absolutely amazing! They even let us have a late check out. Again the balcony view is where you will want to spend all of your time. You can hear the ocean all day and night. I wish I was still there! Enjoy!

Perfect Location on Kauai
Tenth visit to Kauai and Shipwreck beach is the perfect south side location. This property was perfectly located. The balconies were private. Very convenient access to everything, most importantly the beach. I think I'll go ahead and book for next year.

Beautiful, perfect honeymoon condo!
This place was amazing. The views are incredible, and the condo was perfect for us. We loved the huge doors and windows, and hearing the ocean every morning waking up. It is quite spacious with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully furnished kitchen, laundry, living room, even a closed full of games, beach gear, etc. It was great being up on the top floor, and being so close to the beach. The location on the island is great as well, we enjoyed being close to beaches, west-side adventure activities, and also being close to grocery stores and restaurants. I felt the description of this place was understated - it was even nicer than I expected. The only strange thing was the instructions said there would be keys inside but they didn't fit the door...strange but we just used the one key from the lock box the whole time and it was fine. The manager was very helpful and kind, great to work with - sometimes took some time to get a hold of, but she did always get back to me. The property is so amazing, it is the perfect honeymoon destination.

Paradise for sure!
We loved the unit and the location. Open door with screen to enjoy ocean lulling us to sleep, beautiful sunrises each morning with fresh brewed coffee (kitchen is well stocked!) on deck. Nice long walks either direction and lots of equipment (chairs, umbrella, towels, cooler etc) for hours on the beach. Did request a late check out and never heard either way from the property management which was disappointing but the place itself is fabulous!!

Spacious unit with great views
This unit is in a great location and the views are amazing. I just watched the the sunrise from the balcony! It had all the basic amenities you need. The only real downside is that you have to go to the pool area to grill good, but I suspect that grills might not be allowed on the balconies. The complex was quiet and well located near a nice beach and amazing walking trails. Will definitely come back

We loved this place.. Large Lani, relaxing, walking path, central to everything.. Lori was easy to work with and informative. Everything is top of the line and comfortable. The view is better than the pictures.. It couldn't get any better than this.... We are coming back if it isn't rented...

Amazing location and view
While the unit is in need of some minor upgrades, the stunning views and proximity to beach trails and the Grand Hyatt are more than enough to make us want to come back. The cool ocean breezes meant a.c. wasn't needed, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck. We definitely recommend this unit if you are looking for a convenient base from which to explore the island.
