This motel was very clean, especially the bathroom. The beds were not comfy, pillows were lacking, and the wiring for the coffee maker/microwave was sketchy. Also, the TV remote didn't work and had to be replaced. Then, the TV just shut off and wouldn't come back on as we were getting ready to leave.

What a lovely place to spend the night! Quiet little cottage with a comfortable bed and good reading light. Really enjoyed watching the sunset and walking the steep stairs down to and up from the lake. The town of North East is nearby, although I stayed on my cabin porch and adjacent picnic table for dinner. I would definitely return.

Our biggest complaint was the frigid a/c in our room during the day and then automatically turning down to a uncomfortable warmer temp at night making it too warm to sleep and the inability to control those temperatures ourselves!

Friendly staff, facilities are great. Text message is easy to communicate. I would definitely stay here again. Just a note that we find some hairs on the towel, it would be great if the cleaning staff can pay some attention to that.

"The gotel is in the process of updating. It was a pretty good value for a place to flop which is what we wanted. The buulding is quite dated but the rooms arw huge compared to today's modern hotels. We did not like the road noise from the highway as we were in a room in the rear nearest the highway. ..."
