Sandy Beach Front Cottage with great Sunsets

Rare Puget Sound Cottage directly on the water with a large sandy beach! Spectacular sunsets and great marine wildlife... Orca, Humpback, and Pilot whales. Seals, Salmon, Crabs, Clams, Sand Dollars, Eagles and Seagulls. One of a kind oasis in the Pacific NorthWest.

Great spot for a romantic peaceful getaway. Snuggle up on the deck with a glass of wine and a good book while enjoying spectacular views. Or go for a beach walk on our private secluded sandy beach.

Our kids grew up on weekends here, so it is also a great spot for a family vacation. We have lots of beach toys and nothing like planting a chair in the sand while your kids run around. We can comfortably hold two families of four (8 people total) if you have the kids stay in the loft. We have had 4 adults and 6 kids for long weekends, it only gets tight in bad weather and everyone is inside.

Gorgeous deck and beach
We loved this space inside and out with our young kids (4,1,1). What a treat to have a fun beach, tide pools and great toys. Campfire was quite the treat for adults in the evening!

Lovely bay view and sand beach.
Two weeks at this nice property. Even with the rain we had it was snug. Enough beautiful days to feel how lovely this area is. Close enough to Key Center for groceries, hreat Mexican restaurant in Home, nice beach state park at Joemma park. Very nice stay.

Sunset Retreat
What a wonderful getaway home! Everything we needed for a long weekend was at our disposal. The kitchen was well-appointed, including all of the basics (spices, seasonings, evoo, etc)...this has seldom been our experience at previous rentals. The bathroom was equally well-stocked with full-size products and linens. As lovely as the home was, it was secondary to the amazing beach, view and glorious sunsets. I could have been content to just live on the deck! Our host was as wonderful as his property. Upon our return home, my daughter discovered she had left her phone. After trading messages with David, he was not only able to find it under the sofa where it had accidentally fallen, but got it up to his home, which is only about 5 miles from where she lives. Thank you, David (and family) for sharing your charming beach cottage with us!

The Beach
Beautiful setting on the water low bank with a sandy beach. We had a light show the first night. Watching lightening on the water was a new experience. Great walks on the beach and kids spend their day in the sand and water. Everyone loved it.

Beautiful Family Getaway
We had a wonderful experience at this beach house! My kids had fun playing on the beach for hours and we had a great time relaxing on the patio enjoying the sunsets! Loved exploring the beach, collected a ton of shells and felt like we had the beach to ourself!

Perfect, quiet escape on Puget Sound
This house was PERFECT for our family looking for a place to enjoy the outdoor beauty of the Puget Sound. A quiet neighborhood of only 14 houses w/ friendly neighbors and no nearby road noises. The house and rooms were nice—but the beautiful XL deck and views are the main attraction. We had all our meals on the deck, saw plenty of wildlife (including seals and lots of fishing birds) and enjoyed seemingly unreal sunsets every night. We took day trips to Mt. Rainier & Olympic National Park and Seattle is just a 75 min. drive so we got to experience a lot of what Washington & the PNW have to offer. Our girls (11 & 13) slept in the bunk beds the first night but after discovering the loft above the garage wanted to hang out and sleep there all the time. The water was very cold, but we swam twice and enjoyed exploring and walking the beach right in front of the house. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great getaway right on the water
The house was wonderful for our family getaway - everyone loved being right on the beach! We saw sea lions, eagles, sand dollars, geese, deer, and cranes, all while hanging out on the property. The kitchen was well stocked for all of our needs and we had plenty of sleeping areas for our party of 7. The house was clean and clear instructions were left to help answer all of our questions.

The sunsets!!
This incredible home is a place you will never want to leave. Our family felt immediately peaceful the minute we walked in. We loved the hours long sunsets, gorgeous view of the deck, and roasting marshmallows at night. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous Sunsets
Our stay was fabulous. The only thing I would change is to buy a new Hide-a-bed. I was planning on sleeping with my Husband and the bed was so so uncompfortable that I ended up sleeping on the floor. I have a bad back and was hoping it would be somewhat good. Maybe get a better Mattress to eliminate the Bars and springs from poking up all over your body. I know now that I will always pack my air Mattress. Learing experience. Other than that it was amazing. Saw eagles and seals. The water was amazing and again the sunsets were extroidinary.

Absolutely Spectacular in every way!
We stayed with our children (19, 12, & 7) for a week and fell in love with this property. There are not even enough good things to say about our stay. While at the home we saw orcas, dolphins, tons of seals right up close to the deck, more bald eagles than I can count (one was on the beach just feet from us getting crabs), deer, crabs big and small, jellyfish, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something still. The house was clean and cozy, just like if you were at home. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, the wood shed is full of wood for fires, the beds and bedding were amazing, and all of our kids LOVED the loft area. We will for sure be back, we could not have had a better trip! Bring a pair of binos for animal watching... it's well worth it!

Amazing
Amazing is the only way I can describe the view from this property. The water and the mountains in the background were fabulous. We hoped to see Orcas but they didn't come. We had daily visits from a harbor seal and watched porpoises swim by. Just watching the tides and sunsets were great. The beach was nice when the tides were low. We're not really swimmers, but the kids a few doors down seemed to have a blast in the water. The house was plenty big enough for us and had everything you would need. It was clean, and maintained well. Do be cautious going down the private road to the house. It is narrow without too many places to move over. That being said, we never encountered anyone going the opposite way and we went out every day to explore. It gets hot in the afternoon when the sun is over the water. After the sun sets, it cools down and you get a nice breeze. We kept the blinds closed during the day and didn't use the A/C. This part is about the area and has nothing to do with the house. I've been quite a few places, but I can't say I've been to one more beautiful. I won't say going here tops anywhere else, but I will say its something everybody should see. The pines are huge, dwarfing what we normally see here in the midwest. The sound is something to see and the mountains are spectacular. Especially Ranier. It takes a little longer to get places. You have to drive around the water or mountains some. If you're coming to explore, take some time to plan.

Fabulous get -a-way
Our stay was above and beyond our wildest dreams. What an amazing spot with wonderful amenities. Secluded area,safe, immaculate and quiet. We loved the beach and deck. The windows all along the front are amazing to view ocean and watch sunset inside or outside. What a treat to stay in this amazing beach cottage. We could feel the loving touches of the family that own it. It was a divine vacation / graduation family celebration!

Fun loft area!
The view and the beach right outside the yard was over the top beautiful. Perfect for sending the kids out while the adults enjoy wine on the deck. We talked all weekend about how this house would be a keeper. The loft was above the garage, which was just across the breezeway from the kitchen door. And something that we didn’t catch if it was in the reviews, was that there is a series of climbing walls to get up there! Our teenagers loved it! (However we thought it might not be best to leave young ones up there unattended.) The kitchen was very well equipped. We had a good time imaging the fun families that would use the mortar and pestle, and some of the unidentifiable gadgets. We were a little chagrined that there was not a way to use our own coffee. The Keurig had 6 pods available for the three of us, but we couldn’t find a regular coffee maker or a pour-over. Small thing - we’ll bring our own next time!

Great beach getaway
My family and I had an amazing time at this rental. My older kids really enjoyed having the area above the garage to themselves. My parents loved the big deck and low tide beach walks. We saw lots of seals, birds, and a huge patch of sand dollars. My mom especially loved the view of the Olympic mountains, even from the inside of the house. Our first day was pretty rainy but we found lots of games to play inside. It was easy to communicate with the owner and the house had everything we needed to have fun and stay comfortable. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
