This was the perfect end location for our recent vacation. Situated within easy surviving distance of Glasgow and Edinburgh, or beautiful countryside, we were able to customize our activities for each day of our stay. I’d recommend this little gem to anyone (singles, couples, or families) for a great experience and a filling breakfast that will keep you going for a day PACKED full of all the things Scotland has to offer!

The Station House is a homely place to stay. The interior is excellent, the couple have worked very hard to get the place looking amazing. A very peaceful and tranquil stay and the owners are friendly and very accommodating.We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Room was spotless, very comfortable and modern. Alan was a great host, giving us some great recommendations as well as being very welcoming and cooking us a nice breakfast. If I was in the area again I would happily stay another night.

We had a wonderful evening stay at The Station House. Alan couldn't be more helpful and hospitable. The accomodation is beautfully decorated and homely. We loved having the lounge available, as we'd had a long day on the motorbikes and having a sofa and TV gave it a real home from home feel. Breakfast was delicious and the room clean and comfortable. We have stayed at 6 B&B's this week and this place was top of the list. Thank you both.

The Station House was situated in a nice quiet rural place, peaceful and relaxing. Staff very welcoming (Alan / Mrs) cater for all your needs, ensure your stay is a pleasant one. The room we had was spacious, clean an nicely decorated. Will be staying there again on next visit to Scotland

Lovely house with great hosts, we were even offered a lift to the wedding we were attending 😊 lots of great attention to detail including face wipes, cotton wool pads, small bottles of gin and Scottish whiskey, will definitely be back if we are coming to the area again

Comfortable bed but room very very cramped
Chose this place because it was on our route back home. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was good (apart from the lack of a bath mat). However, the room was far too small for two people. We had to manoeuvre around each other to get into and around the room. For example, there was a tub chair in front of the dressing table which made using the draws impossible, and it was hard to reach to use the hospitality tray; one side of the bed was so close to the wall it was impossible to sit on the bed and put on socks and shoes. It was easy to hear what the people in the next room were doing - we could hear then stirring their tea, for example. We were fortunate that we had very considerate neighbours but it made us uncomfortable knowing that they could hear us. Breakfast was fine although we felt we had to rush as checkout was 10am. would not recommend and would not go back

What a great find for b&b accommodation. The room and en-suite were 4* hotel standard and at a very affordable price. Alan is a very attentive and helpful host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

Warm friendly hosts both Allan and Avril were there for you when needed. They had a good way of managing breakfasts, keeping guests distanced, very difficult to manage but they knew what was required of them. Food was excellent, well presented and great choice. Will return when next in Lanark.

It would be very hard to find fault with Station House - there was no part of the night we spent that was lacking. We ended up arriving early, because traffic was better than we expected, they still welcomed us. Rooms lacked for nothing and had a real attention to detail. Slept wonderfully. Owner were very pleasant and helpful, and breakfast was great! Would recommend to anyone visiting the Lanark area.

I was slightly dubious about this booking before the trip as the Station House has so few rooms, but that was a mistake. Its a beautiful place, beautifully done out with large, spacious rooms. There is a lovely lounge area to use, it was very peaceful and breakfast was delicious. Our hosts took care of us and were friendly and welcoming. I'd have no reservations about recommending the Station House.

A faultless b&b Charming hosts. Quality of fittings and furnishings was excellent. Tasty breakfast everthing cooked well with a wide choice of hot and cold food. Location for people wanting walking/cycling was perfect. Quiet, yet 10 min drive to shops/restaurants. Really highly recommended place to stay

The best part about this rental was meeting and talking with the owner, Alan. I honestly could have stayed and chatted with him all day, but we did intend to see Glasgow and Edinburgh while we were in that part of the country! Alan had to change our room at the last minute because of a plumbing emergency in the room we booked. It was not a problem at all and he was most gracious about it. He cooks a wonderful breakfast and made us feel quite welcome and at home.
