"Buffalo Tavern is a very old farmhouse. It is well maintained but shows a few signs of age, nothing unusual for a home over 150 years old, the porch and yard are beautiful. The breakfasts served were all gourmet quality. The town of West Jefferson is a few miles away and it is wonderful."

"Property was beautiful! Very peaceful and loved being on the creek. No cell reception which we honestly enjoyed. WiFi is available. Kitchen is well stocked. Communication from owner was great. Check in and check out was smooth."

"A quiet cabin at the end of a private drive... super secluded and NO through traffic. Perfectly located between West Jefferson, Boone and stunning Blowing Rock with nearby Moses Cone "Flat Top" home off the BRP.Lows in the low 50s and highs in the mid 70s in the middle of August! And wow, daily picture-perfect sunsets from the ridgeline overlooking a valley and Christmas tree farm. Be sure to be up around sunrise and watch the fawns & yearlings playing in the front yard. So amusing! Owner made contact before & during our stay (but not intrusive) just to make sure all was well... it wasn't... it was PERFECT! LOLThanks Paul for offering us your cabin for the week! Will certainly come back."

"This place was great. It was right on the river, which was amazing. The outside deck and grill area was perfect. We brought some kayaks and were able to put in right in the front. I would definitely stay here again."
