Be warned
Quite possibly the most bizarre hotel experience I have ever had. We pulled into the car park and we’re told the hotel had been taken over by the council and and the rooms including the one we had book were taken. I still have no further understanding to what happened. We didn’t stay. We didn’t even get through the door. The has been no way to contact the hotel or hotels.com to get a refund.

There was blood on the pillow and bed sheets, the room stink of cigarette smoke as the window was left open and people next door were clearly smoking inside. They also ignored the signs asking to close doors gently, and were terribly noisy when arriving back to their room at 04.30 and then they proceeded to have a very loud argument until we decided to check out at 05.45....there was no cutlery at reception for the takeaway we ordered, the towels on the towel rail were wet. The location was perfect for our visit to test match and the guys on reception were very polite and very helpful re parking / local facilities and local knowledge etc..but I'd try and get a room not in the basement next to noisy teenagers like ours

“Disappointing stay”
No availability of breakfast, despite you stating this would be available. Small, slightly “scruffy” looking room. Did not realise the tiny bathroom was next door & availability of hot water was problematic. Also no hand towel provided or spare toilet roll. Would not recommend this venue.

Pet friendly hotel 😁
The hotel is very basic the staff was very friendly and polite. I was staying here with my dog which I thought was amazing and very helpful for people travelling with pets I didn't get charged any extra ever. (pet friendly hotel) and I could park my car at the hotel to, very handy. But the rooms need updating with new furniture, mattress as I didn't get a good night sleep and could do with a bit of up to date painting.

Hotel was pretty basic & faded, but cheap. Across the road from the University, which was the purpose of our visit. Major disappointment - no breakfast available. The website says there is continental breakfast, but when we asked at reception we were told they don do breakfast. We were directed to a coffee shop down the road (which was closed :-( )

The worst hotel I've ever visited
This is very mis represented by the entry on this website. It was such a terrible place that I left after 1 night of my 4 night stay. The bed was collapsed and broken, making the bed the most uncomfortable I've ever encountered. The sheets and towels were stained, and despite promises of breakfast on the website, they haven't offed food for years, apparently... this should not be on this website. Avoid at all costs!

I was advised at 12 midday that there was a leak and I could not stay. To stay somewhere else at the last minute cost almost three times as much.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Uncomfortable beds. Black spots all over the covers. Crisps stuck to TV remote. The water there smells like eggs. No staff around. Awful place to find. Completely unsatisfied.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy, was greeted at reception by a simply rude receptionist who then informed us that it was cash only payment although I had already been informed I could pay by card, I was then told that as I could not pay with cash I could not stay in the hotel but I would still be charged for my room, I then had to book another hotel at some considerable cost and when I rung and asked to speak to a manager of the Kingston hotel I could not actually get a straight answer as to when there would be one there. To wrap it up, avoid at all costs, although I did not see a room the rest of the hotel looked dated and scruffy

The booking I made was for a twin room with private bathroom which I didn’t get.Also your website says you can order breakfast and I was told there’s was no food available at all.My room was on the top floor I’m an old pensioner no-one offed to help with my bag there was no lift so I struggled up the stairs.I will be putting a full complaint in and requesting a full refund as the room I paid for wasn’t what I got

Very basic but large room, clean tidy and comfortable. Cheap price and ideal location for universities and city centre. Free parking is a bonus. The website is a bit misleading as it says breakfast can be supplied for £5.00 extra but on arrival I was told they don’t do breakfast. Not really a problem as loads of bars and food outlets nearby.

Very poor and very disappointed
On arrival; The driveway leading to the “hotel” was muddy and piled with rubbish making it unappealing to enter and difficult to walk on. As we were there for a night out this was not good for walking on with nice shoes as it was so muddy. The receptionist was not at all welcoming. Providing very little information. She instantly requested payment with no pleasantries. The room was very basic, very noisy, shabby and poor condition. The bathroom being very grubby and dated. I cannot provide any positives about this hotel apart from it being a short walk into the centre. Very poor and very disappointed. I don’t recommend it and will not be returning.

I mean it’s ok place to stay as close to town but it did have a hostel feeling the room I had was very shabby tears and marks in carpet, leaking shower, bathroom wall not even finished in parts. Bulbs not all working in lights either

Uni Open Day perfect location
Perfectly adequate hotel room for our needs with free parking which we were allowed to use the following day as well which was great. Room basic. Permanent Green fluorescent fire exit light above the door INSIDE THE ROOM was horrid though...it disturbed us both. Bathroom very basic and in desperate need of a renovation. No hair dryer. But tea and coffee making facilities and free water which was a bonus.
