Unfortunately, the siding project was started with some urgency by our HOA, and the crew was progressing rapidly until they ran into an unexpected problem that required more permitting to repair. Originally, the timeline would have moved the work to the other building on the property at the time of your stay, and we reached out as soon as we received the news that they would be falling behind schedule. We truly regret that these circumstances occurred during your stay. But thank you for informing us about the heater and the shower head. We would have been more than happy to have maintenance inspect either of those to ensure you were comfortable; our cadet wall heaters in particular come with a safety feature that can turn the heater off if it overheats (if it's left running too hot for too long, the fan seizes, or someone blocks the vent). It's a simple fix to reset the heater, and we never want a guest to feel like they have to bring their own blankets to be warm. But we're glad you felt the stay was affordable, especially for the front row ocean views these ground floor studios are known for. We hope you had everything else you needed in the condo to enjoy your time in Lincoln City, and we hope to see you again under better circumstances.

We do clean regularly as an ongoing part of our maintenance, but we apologize that this was not as effective in your situation.We also appreciate your feedback on the couches and carpets. We have regular professional carpet and upholstery cleanings scheduled, but rely on guest feedback for updates that there is a more urgent need. We will be sure to move this unit up the list to be cleaned sooner than originally scheduled. Maintenance will also be sure to address the need for caulking as soon as they are able, as it requires a 24 hour period for the material to set properly.Your observations about the condition of the room and the property as a whole have been heard, and we want to assure you that we take them seriously. We are handling the incident responsibly, and the condo is no longer listed until we can determine the cause of the incident and repair the Murphy bed in a safe manner. If it is not repairable, we will contact the owner of that specific condo to discuss her options for replacing or removing that piece of furniture. Unfortunately, like anything else in these individually owned condos, Murphy beds can experience unexpected malfunctions. We do everything in our power to test and inspect everything during each clean, and prior to your arrival the Murphy bed had been functioning safely and as intended with no reports of any issues in the past. We regret that despite those precautions you still experienced an incident, and we understand your concerns for your child. However, it's not advisable to allow children or frailer individuals to lift or lower the Murphy beds (at our location or any other) without close supervision, as even during normal use they can sometimes be heavier than expected. We're still diligently working with maintenance to narrow down the cause of the situation so that we can proactively move forward, and we can only recommend that you seek medical care if you believe it is necessary. Thank you again for staying with us, for notifying us in a timely manner, and for the 5/5 review. We hope that you'll continue staying with us to enjoy some amazing ocean views.

Hi Debbie, I regret that you experienced some problems with your stay. We can't predict when batteries will die in some fixtures, but you were welcome to remove the dying battery so you could rest better on your last night with us. Also, each of the condos at D Sands Condominiums is individually owned with an HOA overseeing the communal amenities, and some owners are better at communicating with our team than others. We had been told that work next door was delayed because of a contractor cancellation, and I truly do regret that better information wasn't shared with us so we could notify you and others. It's rather unfortunate that owners are not required to tell us if they're doing work in their condos while staying. I am relieved to hear that they were respecting quiet hours and didn't start any earlier, however. We also haven't received any complaints about the refrigerator in your unit before now, so thank you for sharing your concerns. We'll look into them and share your comments with the owner of that room. Our HOA also provides all pool supplies and upkeep, and we've been suggesting more chairs for a while now. We appreciate you providing your input to help us convince them that more seating would be appreciated by our guests. We hope that despite those setbacks you and your family were able to enjoy your time; we certainly noticed how everyone was enjoying the pool area! We hope that the ocean view, stocked kitchen, and thoughtfully decorated condo gave you some things to enjoy. We note upon booking that early check-in and late checkouts are unlikely and generally not provided. However, we do try our best to allow guests to check-in early, if housekeeping can accommodate the early arrival. We impose an early arrival fee if we have the capacity to redirect the housekeeping schedule to prepare for an early arrival. We understand that some guests would rather wait until the designated check-in time, rather than paying a fee to arrive early, and that's okay. Regarding dishes and our checkout procedures, although we request guests clean their dishes before their departure, housekeeping staff are required to inspect each dish in between guests and re-wash them as needed. Our staff are also available during normal business hours to assist you with any cleanliness concerns that you may have. We hope that you enjoyed all that this cozy condo has to offer, and that you loved the oceanfront view, easy beach access, and close proximity to a number of great shops and restaurants. It is unfortunate that your daughter's party came home after 1am, when our night staff leaves for the evening. While these situations are quite rare, friction against the bolt (such as trying to open/close the door before the bolt has retracted all the way) can cause the batteries to deplete rapidly and unexpectedly. We do our best to prevent problems, but if given the chance, the answering service is there to aid guests in these rare situations and they will connect guests that need help with one of our responsive staff members, typically the general manager herself. However, after checking our call logs and the records from the emergency answering service, it appears that your daughter disconnected the call from the answering service before they could transfer to the emergency on-call person that would have been able to assist her further. We are so relieved to hear that your daughter was able to wake one of the children to let her in and that the rest of the night was uneventful. We sincerely hope that you enjoyed your stay, and would be happy to host you again. We wish you all the best in your future travels!

Our buildings were constructed in the '80s, and given our location between the beach and directly off of Highway 101, guests can expect to hear traffic from the highway with the possibly of hearing general noise from people occupying neighboring units. Parking spaces may be a bit small for larger vehicles. It is optimized to accommodate at least one, small to average sized, vehicle per reservation. Adjacent to the property, street parking is available, if the lot happens to fill up or can't accommodate a large vehicle. RVs and Trailers are not permitted.
