"This place and the surrounding area are amazing in my opinion. I learned the hard way, but you deff need a car in this area. The towns all around are cute and have a nice old school charm. And Lismore castle and gardens are amazing. Just wish the lord and lady would allow tours of the castle."

"We had a lovely stay at the cottage for 1 week in November. The same parking spot right outside the door of the cottage was always there for us. There was COMPLETE silence even though it is in the town centre. Local takeouts are closeby, within walking distance, also groceries, pharmacy ,cafes etc and by walking distance i mean within 5 mins, at a leisurely pace. Lismore is an extremely quiet town. "This comfortable studio is perfect for 1-2. The view alone is exquisite, calm and serene. Parking is excellent and quite safe. I walked to the Abbey next door and found wild blackberries along the way. The nuns were singing in their church and it was angelic. This is a small convent but quite worth a visit during services. The gracious hosts could not be more delightful & welcoming. The town is surprisingly full of treasures and the area is absolutely lovely.Do NOT miss the Castle Garden and exquisite walk to the Towers. These are among my favorites in all of Ireland. Even the Castle Garden stand is suberb. Any chef would be pleased. Plan to spend time exploring and soaking in the pure beauty of the place.But in the end it is the people that make a place. This is a special part of Ireland.pI will certainly return.Gold Stars!!"
