Peaceful and comfortable!
We stayed at this cottage for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute! Susanne is super friendly and hospitable. The cottage is really comfortable and well-stocked for cooking. The beautifully landscaped private yard is perfect for relaxing and soaking in the sun. There's so many things nearby to hike and explore. So sad to leave, but can't wait to return!

Lovely stay in a lovely cottage
My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at your cottage to celebrate his birthday. I especially enjoyed seeing your farm animals. Such a special treat to walk about the back and interact with them. We found the cottage charming, clean, and comfortable. It was hard to leave after just two nights. Next time it will be more. Suzanne was an excellent host. Loved that she brought us fresh eggs from her hens. A relaxing and restful visit to Los Osos. Thank you, Lauren 😊🐓🐴

Just what we needed!!
Our family is currently going through a really tough time with a loss in the family and needed some time with my daughter who lives in SLO as we grieve. We only were able to stay one night but everything about this property is what we needed to separate from the buzz we live in (Bay Area). I stayed up until Midnight outside in the gated backyard next to a cozy fire my husband built and sat in the stillness and beauty and listened to the ocean in the distance. Susanne was so accommodating with us (early check in- late check out since there was nobody arriving the day of departure), she left us fresh eggs and made each step of this short but much needed break a breeze. We will definitely be back- maybe even with our dogs and for sure longer than one night :)

Perfect spot to stay
We have been coming to Los Osos for 7 years and love the area. Suzanne is a terrific host and the cottage has everything that we need to make it feel like home. She is there if you need her but completely nonintrusive. The area State Parks are lovely with many trails and not terribly crowded. The estuary is a spectacular place, especially for birding. We can hike a different trail each day if preferred, but have a few favorite places.

Loved it!!!
This cottage is so comfortable! Our pup was in love with the cottage's private yard, and also watching the chickens and beautiful horses in the stable outside. We were all sad to leave for home, but plan to return soon!

Susan and Greg were terrific hosts! We enjoyed a bbq in the enclosed patio with our family who live nearby. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed yard when we were at "home". Very nice stay!

We had a great stay at this Vrbo, the host is incredibly kind and the place is really pretty. Our stay was great, it was as described, perfect for 4 people. Susanne was responsive and even left a couple of surprises for us which made our stay even better.

A great three weeks
We loved our nearly three-week stay at the cottage. Los Osos-Baywood proved the perfect base of operations for 14 different day trips to locations like SLO (nearly daily), Cambria, Cuyucos, Morro Bay, Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, Paso Robles, Templeton, Atascadero, the elephant seal observatory and more. Susanne, the owner, was wonderful and very responsive to our very few needs and questions. Highly recommended. We WILL be back.

Delightful cottage
This sweet, cozy cottage on a side street in Los Osos was a charming respite from an otherwise busy trip to the San Luis Obispo area. We enjoyed the hilly walk through eclectic Los Osos to Sweet Springs, the Audubon nature preserve. The cottage met all of our needs, and even added neighs and clucking to the ambiance of the setting. A great find!

The backyard is a real bonus. We had a burger and s'mores party and enjoyed it so much. It's quiet, peaceful and charming. My only suggestion would be some soap for the shower. Definitely recommend this place!!

Place was cute and clean and cozy! Had everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Plus someone has a green thumb and the flowers were beautiful! Would stay here again. Nice Italian restaurant in walking distance, and hiking trails close by.

Peaceful stay in Los Osos
This is a very peaceful property with a large, private, enclosed yard with fire pit and nice patio furniture. It’s on a quiet residential dead end street in Los Osos. The pictures are accurate. The furniture and bed were comfortable. Very dog friendly. Good value for the central coast.

Perfect!
Sweet little spot in a tucked away corner of a quiet neighborhood. NO noise! The horses and chickens were a fun part for our 3.5 year old too. Nice outdoor space too. Would book again in a heart beat!

Peaceful cottage
Just had a lovely stay there. Very quiet, peaceful. Fully stocked wood for the outdoor fire pit was very nice! We enjoyed the fully enclosed backyard patio with our dog. Also ideal location — close to Montana de oro and Morro rock.

Very quiet and comfortable. Accessible for someone who has a hard time walking. Walker fit in the shower. Beds were comfy, and having free access to Netflix was a plus!!

Darling country retreat
We really enjoyed this cute little house with our dogs. Every detail was well thought out. It had everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The house and backyard are very private. We really enjoyed having a fire in the chiminea and star gazing in the evening. The house is located close to Montana de Oro State park which is wonderful for hiking and mountain biking.

Superb Prooerty
As advertised, very nice location. Easy access to Morro Bay, SLO, and other attractions. Cottage was literally a port in the storm during downpours and flooding in mid coast area. The fenced yard with nice succulents is Zen-like. Great for the pooches. Will definitely stay here again

Great Experience at Pet Friendly Cottage in Los Osos
The Nuckols are amazing hosts. This was the nicest vacation experience we've had, maybe ever. The check-in process was seamless. With access arrangements already established we drove up and walked right in. Susanne is a great communicator, responding to messages quickly. The Cottage is very clean, warm, welcoming and cozy. It was well-stocked with ample towels, bedding and kitchen wares. They had lots of blankets and the beds were VERY comfortable! The cottage has a nice yard which was great for the dogs. (they even had a pooper scooper to make it easy to clean up after them) Some special touches that we really appreciated: *Outdoor fireplace stocked with wood *Wifi / tv cabinet with free wifi, streaming services and dvds. *Books and games *Spice rack for cooking *The fresh eggs were very nice :) One important thing worth mentioning: we brought my mother in law, who has mobility issues. The house and yard are level and easy to move around in for her. She was very happy about that. They have a gate on the back fence. Parking is right there at the gate, which makes access for anybody with mobility issues a breeze. She walked right into the house. We will definitely be staying with the Nuckols again and we highly recommend the Pet Friendly Cottage in Los Osos! Thank you, Susanne!

Beautiful, warm cottage
The pictures do not do this property justice. Lovely cottage with gorgeous, private, fenced-in yard. Beds very comfy. Very clean, light and airy space. Close to activities and Morro Bay. Susanne was very helpful and provided a gorgeous space to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a blast at the local pub "The Olde Alehouse" brews and wines and great food. Hopefully we can visit again.

What a wonderfully comfortable property-we felt right at home. We could have stayed there for a much longer time. The photos don’t do it justice. It’s fairly small, but was perfect for the three of us plus our pup. We cooked meals in the well-stocked kitchen, enjoyed lunch on the private patio, and explored the hikes and beaches in the area. It has a lot of privacy with a fence around most of the cottage. The photos don’t do this place justice. Book it!

Wonderful Property!!!
I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed this property. Very clean, spacious, and accommodating. My wife and three small dogs enjoyed our stay. We had no contact with the property owner/manager but did not need to as her written instructions for use and enjoyment of the property were simple, clear and all we needed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Cute Cottage Get-a-Way
A surprise storm sent us scrambling to change our camping plans at the last minute and we stumbled upon this great little cottage rental. Suzanne was a wonderful host, and the cottage was fully equipped, comfortable, cozy, and a provided a perfect alternative. Located just outside the state park, it was the perfect place to call home base while providing close access for day hiking in Montana de Oro. Beautiful property, lovely horses, pretty views, and a great patio with chimenea for evening hangtime. We had a lovely stay!

Such a unique stay!
Was simply delightful! The cottage is special. The pet friendly acre is special. Fires at night, Bay horn through the fog, trails down to Batteries and what it has to offer, Montaña del Oro!!! It goes on and on. We stayed nearly a month and would go back tomorrow. Hard to find these gems! TY Suzanne!!

We stayed here while moving our daughter into the dorms at Cal Poly. The peace and quiet was a welcome refuge from the chaos of freshman move in! House literally had everything we needed and was super comfortable. A previous reviewer called it “home” and it really did feel like a home!

Lovely Los Osos Cottage
What a wonderful place! Quiet neighborhood that's close to SLO, Morro, and Montana de Oro. Our pup appreciated the enclosed yard and we had a lovely time enjoying company by the fire pit. Susan was very welcoming and even brought us fresh eggs from her chickens to cook up for breakfast. Wonderful spot, looking forward to re-visiting!

We Would Definitely Stay Here Again
This cottage was perfect for our stay. I just wish we had planned to stay longer. The fenced yard was perfect for our two dogs although I wish there was a bit more shade. The first two days were uncommonly hot and humid. We didn't find the extra fan until the second night so the house was about 80° even with all windows open and ceiling fans on so I wanted to sit outside, but sun was too hot. Thankfully, the cool weather returned in the evening of our second night. Other than that, the location was great, size is perfect, and price is perfect! Definitely worth a return stay!

Loved our stay in Los Osos!
My wife and I (and our dog) all stayed for 5 days at this property. Susanne, the host/owner was wonderful. Super communicative, very nice and helpful. The property was very comfortable and with a safe and secure fenced yard for our pup, was the perfect spot for us. It is in a fantastic location in Los Osos which was a great spot for easy access to the coast for beaches and kayaking, hiking in the two nearby state parks, and wine tasting in Paso Robles. We loved the laid back and quite town of Los Osos and Baywood Park with some wonderful restaurants, bakeries and a great farmer's market. We didn't want to leave!

Perfect Getaway

Perfect place for our trip
We chose this place for a quick 2 night stay with our dogs as a getaway trip out of the city and for a mental break. The place was clean and plenty of room for our dogs to roam around and chill. The host left us some eggs for us to enjoy. The area is quiet with a bit of country & small coastal town feel. Love hearing the chickens in the morning.
