The property is very centrally located if you don’t mind the lack of any kind of lobby or ambiance. The two brightest stars of the property are Leticia at the front desk and the woman who cleans the rooms. Leticia is friendly and helpful. Every arrangement we made with her was on-time and correct. Some of the other staff went about their business without a hello or even a smile. The young woman who cleans the rooms( didn’t get her name) was meticulous and always had a bonjourno and a smile! If you want a clean place to lay your head and don’t plan on spending too much time in your room, this is your choice.

Cathedral of St Martin

Visit one of Lucca’s most sacred religious icons, an impressive building that is almost a millennium old.

The church of Santi Giovanni e Reparata is a church of Lucca that is located in Piazza San Giovanni.

The first seat of the bishops of the diocese, when the dignity of cathedral at the beginning of the eighth century was transferred to St. Martin remained its right to the baptismal font, and this made the relationship between the two sacred buildings always very close. At the beginning of the nineteenth century the church was destroyed by the Napoleonic government, deprived of its furnishings and destined to house the archives of the ancient Republic. In 1828 it was reopened to worship, but in a very changed situation. The present structure dates back to the reconstruction of the second half of the XII century, but its origins are much older.
