A beautiful, unique hotel with high windows, large hallways, wonderful lighting and great setting.

house was clean and neat

Nice place and close to a lot of services and airport

Pros: Gorgeous building and beautiful views. The sheets and towels smelled clean, the staff was friendly, and breakfast was about what you'd expect. When a noisy guest above us became an issue, staff called the room to ask them to stop and moved us to the fourth floor without hesitation. Cons: The soundproofing is practically nonexistent. We could hear every footstep above us and ordinary hallway noise. Even after moving rooms, we could clearly hear coughing, arguing, and normal conversations. The doors didn't close properly on two occasions, and our key cards repeatedly stopped working. Staff blamed proximity to phones or credit cards, but even a key left untouched on the dresser stopped functioning. The refrigerator hummed all night but didn't cool. My daughter's antibiotics spoiled inside it. Thankfully, it was her last dose, but we also couldn't trust the food we'd stored. Things I could have overlooked for the price: The property is extremely worn. Chipped furniture, worn paint, missing tiles, tears in the duvets and shower curtain, and lumpy, poorly fitted carpeting throughout. Our room had a 2 inch gap between the carpet and wall, a large gap under the door, and a calcium-encrusted showerhead that looked comically small in the enormous shower. I can overlook cosmetic issues at this price, but not basic maintenance failures. The staff was lovely, but the building needs serious attention.
