The hotel is situated in a perfect area of Port Vieux, close to everything. The hospitality is great the rooms are very nice.

Terrible. Does not match the pictures. First, at check-in everything was great; they gave us a room when settled in and shortly went to visit the abbey. Then a half hour in our visit, walking around the abbey, having to pay the entrance. Someone incessantly kept calling us with a French number. We thought, “Oh my goodness, something happened back home.” We called, and it was the person at the front desk telling us we needed to return immediately, so we rushed back and seriously thought maybe something happened back home. Then, long and behold, the reception desk tells us that they gave us the wrong room and that our room is in an apartment building. We changed rooms after running back; we grabbed our bags and changed rooms. The new room, located in an apartment building, was gross. The bathroom was disgusting, and not to mention that there isn’t AC despite advertising otherwise. Then, the front desk, to apologize, offered two dinner vouchers to their restaurant. Oh my goodness, what was that for? We went downstairs, and the hostess at the restaurant started yelling at us that there is nothing as such a dinner on them. So, she calls the front desk, and they tell her to offer us a menu. Mind you, it was already 7pm and they want us to eat an omelette even after I told the hostess I had an egg allergy. Luckily, after they sat us down, the waitress was so sweet and said, “Just order what you’d like,” which is what we did, WW III broke out the hostess almost killed us.

We are ending a month-long trip through Europe, having stayed at 10 hotels in the same price range, and this was unfortunately our biggest disappointment. The location is unbeatable—the best in all of Mont Saint-Michel. If I were to return, I would probably stay here again because you simply can’t beat the setting. The views are absolutely stunning. However, I expected much more from the hotel itself. The property feels dated, and during our stay we had neither air conditioning nor reliable internet access. While the incredible views made up for some of the shortcomings, the overall experience did not match the price. The service was also disappointing. The staff at both the reception and the restaurants were neither welcoming nor particularly helpful. Before our arrival, we needed the access code for the parking lot. I contacted the hotel a week in advance through Expedia, by email, and through their online guest portal, but never received a response. This created unnecessary stress upon arrival. With such an exceptional location, this hotel has tremendous potential, but it falls short in terms of facilities and customer service.

No internet. No TV. Pretty much no privacy as well. It's really about being in that beautiful town unless you have some work to do. If you're vacationing without needing any internet than this is a great option. It's a very busy island. People constantly looking into my window...eye level with the castle walls.
