Oriental Jade was a really good choice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had to extend our trip by another night and they managed to fit us in the same room – no problems. The bathroom had a few stray hairs on the floor. Apart from this, the property was fantastic and would have given 5/5 stars.

Even though there was a problem with the dates we booked aligning with their schedule, Catherine Cruises went above and beyond to ensure we were on an equally luxurious cruise ship with another company to suit our schedule. And rather than just handing us over to another company, they proactively managed the whole thing with amazing communications and care levels. This demonstrates an exceptional level of commitment to customer service - even when we're not even on their boat! We hope to revisit them and experience their service on their own boat soon! Defo a big thumbs up to this company.

Bích Động Pagoda, within the Ninh Binh province of Vietnam consists of three layered pagodas, each used as Buddhist shrines. The air is thick with incense and hushed speech, a complement to the verdant cliffside and rice-terraced countryside that surround. I arrived at the site in the early morning, cutting my motorbike to walk across the stone bridge through the pagoda gate. As I was taking my first steps, however, two stray dogs pushed past me, as if assuming positions of welcome. They walked ahead of me, looking back from time to time to make sure I was following course.
