Do not expect a typical and boring Costa del Sol tourist destination. Huelin is an old district of Malaga, a classic Andalusian quarter, with its friendly, warm and communicative people.

All amenities such as supermarkets, bars, restaurants, beach life and culture in the immediate vicinity, making this apartment a unique object.
Nearby, just 3 minutes walk from the apartment, the famous market of Huelin invites you to replenish the fridge with local fruit, vegetables and daily fresh fish and seafood.

Here are some more good news: The apartment is located just 7 km from the airport. The journey to the apartment takes only 10 minutes by car or taxi (15 EUR). Huelin is an old city district of Malaga. In just 20-25 minutes you can walk to the old town (taxi EUR 6).

Along the beach you will find the so-called chiringuitos', traditional beach restaurants where the Sardinas and fried fish are oceanfront, the kings of the menu.

On the beach you can hire sun loungers and umbrellas for rent EUR 3,50. In short: Huelin is a great place. It combines city and beach life in an ideal way.

This beautiful apartment (128m²) has 4 bedrooms (3 doubles and 1 single) 2 bathrooms (each with large bathtubs), one en suite.

The large living and dining room offers spectacular sea views. Fast WIFI is included in the rent. There is a large flat screen TV in the event that you want to spend a quiet evening at home.

There is a total of 3 balconies, two of them with sea views. Another advantage is a private and free parking.

The kitchen is fully equipped. Here you will find everything you need for the duration of your visit: washer, dryer, kettle, juicer, coffee maker, toaster, oven, microwave, refrigerator, iron, ironing board and further kitchen utensils.

Towels and bed linen are provided of course available.

The apartment is located on the first floor and has an elevator. There is also an elevator for disabled
(Wheelchair), on the left side of the main entrance (see photo), which can also be used for the carriage of baby carriages and luggage.

The apartment is furnished in a modern and elegant style. The mattresses are new and very comfortable.

Below the apartment is a coffee shop, where excellent breakfast is served at very reasonable prices.

The beach and the famous 'Antonio Banderas Promenade' is located directly opposite the house and invites you to all kinds of outdoor activities.

Wonderful Stay
If you are considering a wonderful spot for you next visit to Malaga, we strongly recommend Mercedes apartment in Huelin. Communication with Mercedes was terrific, and check in/out a breeze. The apartment is fully stocked with everthing you will need including beach towels. We were even greeted with some lovely staples to start us off -- so very thoughtful! As previous reviewers have stated, it's in a great location across from the beach and just about a 30 walk to Malaga Centro. Lots of great restaurants and bars close by -- we especially loved Chuptirya for the great seafood and the little El Chispito bar for a glass of wine on our way home (the owner was lovely!). We also recommend Chiringuito Los Compadres. The beach is much better than the one across the street. You can rent two sunbeds and an umbrella for 10 euros. The staff are marvellous and the food terrific, fresh, and reasonably priced. Thanks again for the stay Mercedes! We'll be back!

Fabulous apartment in a great location. It’s about 2 kilometres from the centre of town and easy to walk into. The beach is a stones throw away and lots of cafes and restaurants. We had a fantastic few days in Malaga.

A fabulous place to stay!
Mercedes met us as we arrived! This property was perfect for us! Clean, roomy, decorated beautifully and the balconies are a wonderful place to sit back with a glass of wine and watch the ocean and those strolling the promenade. Watching the sunrise from this apartment is magnificent! The kitchen is well stocked and along with WIFi and smart TV we were able to watch local TV, stream Netflix, HBO, etc...The building is also very secure. We wanted to stay in a more immersive neighborhood instead of an area of tourists, and we were so lucky to find this apartment in Huelin, Malaga! Within steps, or a block or two from this apartment, you will find countless bars, restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, the Auto & Fashion Museum and the fabulous Huelin fresh market. It's all so convenient! The Mediterranean is just across the road with easy access to the beach, promenade and restaurants - you must try the grilled sardines! Uber to the city center is quick and about 7 euros. Bus service is also available all over Malaga. I totally recommend this VRBO - honestly, it is just lovely. We had a wonderful stay - thank you Mercedes - we will be back!!

Amazing property
We spent 3 weeks in Mercedes apartment,our flight go delayed and Mercedes herself waited for us at the apartment,when we entered the apartment,it was clean,beautifully decorated,even better than the pictures,Mercedes provided us with immediate food necessities.The location is fantastic ,just across from beautiful beaches ,there was a grocery store with everything you need just a short walk away,lots of restaurants everywhere around,”chiringuitos” famous for delicious sea food.Old Malaga downtown was 5-6 euros only.I also must address the apartment had all the supplies needed ,towels,linens ,washer and dryer,air conditioning in every room.I would like to believe that some day I will be back,Great memories.

Great flat Huelin beach
Thanks Mercedes for a fantastic trip to Huelin, Málaga. The flat was large, comfortable for 6 people (inc our children, 1 and 3 years old) and just as the photos online showed. The property was super clean, had a good supply of beach towels, baby travel cot and high chair and was over the road from the beach. Easy access to central Malaga and near a great local market in Huelin. The area had a little bit of everything we needed - beach, grocery shopping, playgrounds, restaurants and buses into central Malaga. We had a lovely time, thanks very much. Grace.

Beautiful property and great location!
We spent a week at this wonderful property and were pleasantly surprised at how clean and we'll appointed it was! Every detail was thought about .....we felt like we were staying at a 5 star hotel! Location was great too! Loved the beach across the street and the beach bars with amazing fresh grilled seafood for lunch! Location was about a 20 min walk into Malaga Centro or a $5 Euro Uber ride. I will definately book this again!

Great all round experience.
This comfortable 4 bedroomed apartment in Huelin is magnificent. Immaculately clean, very spacious and extremely secure. There is road noise but the apartment is well insulated so it's not a spoiler. Mercedes, the delightful owner couldn't have been more helpful. Everything we could possibly need was provided. The beach and paseo is very close, across the road, and stretches for miles in both directions and has great facilities such as kids play parks, outdoor gyms, bars and restaurants etc. It takes about half an hour to walk into the historic area and port of Malaga or there's plenty of buses that leave from a traditional Spanish market about 500 m away or a taxi is about 3 euros. Supermarkets, bars and restaurants are in abundance in the area. If you fancy a day trip to Ronda or along the coast the nearest rail station is Mario Zambrano, about 15 mins walking or cheap taxi. Taxi from airport would be 20 euros. I'd have no qualms about staying again. Loved it!

Re communication. Things came through in German and it was trial and error to understand. There is a bus route but we could not figure it out. It would have been nice to have a one page that said the number. Bus stops at. Every. And goes to. We averaged over 20,000 steps a day on our Fitbit and some days our legs got tired. Also, we had never used an induction stove top and figured it out and there was a full page booklet but again, a one paragraph primer left by the stove. Same thing for garbage. You figure it out but a one page primer. Overall a very clean property, all the start up items were there. Coffee, fruit,etc. plus you could see that people leave things, such as spices, etc. we left a couple. The promenade was great and used by so many and along the beach. Other communication concern. We had a difficult time speaking with Juan and were as much at fault in not being able to understand better. I would give this property a ten out of ten and whenever there was a question Metcedes answered it

a wonderful week in a fabulous apartment
Our apartment in the Huelin district of Malaga was fantastic. Right across the road from the sea and the Antonio Banderos Promenade. It was clean, comfortable and modern and our hostess had left some 'essentials' for our arrival - milk, bread, butter etc. We went as a family of 7 - 5 adults and 2 children and it suited us perfectly. It is located ideally for shops, restaurants and cafes and only a short walk to the bus to take us into Malaga itself. (It's only 25 minute brisk walk along the promenade if you don't want to use buses). Highly recommended.

Clean and spacious apartment with a well equipped kitchen - be aware the cooktop is induction and you may not be familiar with that. Nicely located : Great view of the sea and the beach walk and it is quiet despite being just above a very busy four lane street. Five minute walk from buses (going and returning) and twenty-five minute walk to Old Town. Seldom had to wait more that three minutes for a bus. Numerous stores nearby for groceries and a five minute walk to a great market open until 1:00pm except Sundays. Malaga itself is very clean and friendly and we felt very comfortable at all times. Enjoyed the Thyssen and the Contemporary Museums. Not fond of Picasso. The Old Town area is extensive and fun to stroll around and pick a good fresh air table to people watch and enjoy the food and beverages. Train and bus stations are a short walk or a 20 Euro cab ride with luggage. Bus service to the likes of Marbella, Ronda and Granada is inexpensive and frequent. Enjoyed a great three weeks and lucked into almost perfect weather.

A very enjoyable weekend in Malaga
The apartment is in good location and public transport is very easy to find. On arrival we were made to feel welcome. The apartment was well stocked with coffee, fruit, water and milk. Lots of helpful information was made available. We recommend investing in multi person bus cards to get around by bus. Definitely stay here again.

The property was well appointed. When we arrived there was food as well as ample toiletries. Muffins, coffee, butter were in abundance as well as extra towels. Mercedes gave us recommendations for restaurants. And the apartment was beautifully taken decorated and had two balconies overlooking the ocean. I only wish it were a little closer to the old town city center.

This extra large apartment with its 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was perfect for our group of four adults. We enjoyed very much the apartment, the commodities and the spectacular view facing the beach! Very clean and very accommodating hostess!!!
Mercedes was a wonderful hostess! She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She allowed us to check in early on the day of arrival and late on the day we left and she even got us an extra parking space thru the neighbors, as the condo only has one spot for parking. Her home was beautiful, clean, spacious and homey. Well stocked with pots, dishes, coffee maker, and even a juicer to make freshly squeezed orange juice, to which Mercedes had some oranges for us to start off with. I cannot say enough nice things about Mercedes and her beautiful home! Malaga was also very beautiful! Thank you Mercedes for being such a wonderful hostess!!!! May God Bless you and your family!!!!
