The hotel itself needs big improvements, our room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, the window was broken and we had to call someone to fix it so we could close it overnight. The cleaning was not the best, a lot of hairs left on the floor, cleaning staff are not coming all the times to clean, they didn’t come to our room for 2 days in a row even if we called the reception. The swimming pool at the 7th floor was not heated on a Sunday Morning, the sauna door is broken and doesn’t close properly.. The staff were great and helpful every single time, that is a bonus of this hotel. With one exception, the italian lady selling the Malta tours at the front desk. Please pay attention and ask what you’re getting for the price! She sold us €95 tickets to get to Gozo and Comino. But she never mentioned that the transport within the island is not included!! We got there and remained on the bay area for 2 hours. Location of the hotel is great, with easy access everywhere, Bolt is very cheap to travel around. I recommend going to Julian’s Bay and The point shopping centre, great area. The view from the hotel’s rooftop is great!

Great location. Staff were all lovely and always helpful. Bar shut at 10pm which seemed very early. Rooms are good, daily clean. Breakfast is great with plenty of options though can get busy! Local area is easy to walk around and bus is right outside the main entrance.

The place was loverly room was great however the inside Pool was meant to be heated and it wasn’t and the jacuzzi was like warm, might aswell ran a bath and the sauna was broken

Cheap and cheerful!
We had a great stay the hotel is in a great location right on the sea front. Ideal for a budget weekend trip away, the room was fairly spacious and had a fairly comfortable bed and the staff were all very friendly. Only things that let it down were; lifts were small and slow, some black mould/damp in bedroom and bathroom and a broken tile but didn’t effect the use at all! The spa was very busy and main pool was cold but was supposed to be heated. Overall a good stay!

Great location..great staff...
Excellent location...staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet had good choice and tables were cleaned and cleared as you finished eating. Comfortable bar area with large TVs showing mainly live sport. Bus stop to go to Valetta across the road and to head north towards st Julian's outside hotel. Ferry service to Valetta near by and a cheap and scenic way to enter Valetta. Room was clean and spacious and well worth paying a little more for sea view.Great views from roof top pool with sunloungers. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Good value, well situated hotel
This hotel is well situated on the main promenade in Gzira, surrounded by many bars/restaurants and has a bus stop on the doorstep to access the rest of the island. Most of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, particularly those serving breakfast on a morning and the cleaning staff. We were only B&B so can only comment on breakfast, which had a good selection of items to choose from and was regularly replenished by the hardworking staff. We had a room in the side annex which was a good size and we were fortunate enough to have a large terrace with sun loungers. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels replenished as required, although the bedding was not changed during our 9 night stay. The air conditioning in our room worked well and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. Unfortunately, whilst the shower was of a generous size, the doors did not close properly so the bathroom floor would flood every time we took a shower. Our first visit to the rooftop pool found it full of people, with no spare loungers and a quite cloudy looking pool. However, on subsequent visits, the pool was clear and inviting and there were plenty of loungers. Our biggest issue with this hotel is the lift situation. Our building had 1 lift for 6 floors, which would have been okay were it not for the fact that it was the same lift used by staff. This meant that you often couldn’t get in the lift as beds were being moved around the hotel, or the trolley for bags of laundry was in there

The hotel needs to improve the way it is displayed on the website because on the first day we had a bit of a problem there, because restless and hotel we were allocated, it was not the same as the one displayed on the website. Different room and positions, we had to complain to the manager and then be allocated the room we had seen in the booking app. We realised that other people also had the same problem.

Unfortunately the aircon wasn’t working in the rooms and this spoilt what could have been a pleasant stay. Staff tried their best to make us comfortable. The first room we were given smelled of damp. I couldn’t recommend this hotel in its current state

The hotel itself was extremely clean, staff friendly, breakfast had great choice and even catered for ‘gluten free’ requirements BUT the air conditioning in the bedroom was awful and made it extremely difficult to sleep at night !!! However, the air conditioning in public areas was excellent !!! Bayview, please sort out the bedroom air conditioning then I would have given you 5 stars all round

Booked this hotel several months before our trip. When we turned up they first seemed to think we had no booking, then said we'd been moved to their 'sister' hotel. Met someone at the other hotel who said the same had happened to them. It seems clear they are overbooking this 'Bayview' hotel and then sending excess customers elsewhere. This is not acceptable. I'm still waiting for an adequate response from Expedia.

Worst accomodation experience!
Worst accomodation experience ever!! It the first time i am writting a review but i feel the need to inform others planning to visit the hotel. 1. We stayed 3 nights to which the 2 we didnt even sleep as there was a lot of noise on the floor. The fire alarm went off both nights with no actual fire one night at 4 o'clock and the other at 1 o'clock. 2. For 2 days there was no hot water as the hotel was full and it run out for all the hotel rooms. The management staff was not helpful at all!! They are not problem solvers. They told us we will send someone but each time no one came to fix the issue. 3. Hairdryer was not working either in our room and a lot of other rooms as we find out from other guest as well. 4. The toilet room was too small and to sat on the toilet you had to do it diagonaly. Overall this a bad experience we will never forget in a negative aspect.

Stayed for 4 nights choose hotel for convenience to visit Valletta via ferry unfortunately weather conditions meant ferry didn’t operate at all during stay which was very disappointing and made each trip into Valletta a trial as buses were full and didn’t stop so needed taxis 10 euros each way . Hotel was lovely , would definitely stay again as very good value excellent breakfast and lovely pool area on the roof . Some Reception staff could have been friendlier and more helpful . Weather could have been a lot better

I arrived here late at night and check in was quick. The receptionist explained where everything was located and that someone was available 24/7 should I need anything. The overall feel for the hotel is quite young and suited for larger groups, party go-ers/night owls as opposed to early birds who enjoy the peace and quiet. I was initially put into a room which didn't feel clean - the sheets were discoloured and had hair/stains on them. The shower door didn't close properly and leaked water everywhere, the balcony door didn't lock and was located right next to the lifts so was very noisy throughout the night as the party crew came home. I requested to be moved the morning after my first night and the second room I was given was perfect. It overlooked the main street and felt fresh and clean. Thank you again, I didn't want to leave! The outdoor pool is good, loads of loungers and plenty of space. The sauna door doesn't shut however and the jacuzzi wasn't very warm. There were no pool towels or anyone around to help either. The breakfast was good - what you'd expect from a continental buffet. A bigger selection of fruit would be welcomed but overall good. Plenty of places to eat nearby and a bottle shop next door. Overall a lovely hotel with friendly staff and everything you need located within or nearby. (April 2023)

Hotel was nice and in good location, view from room was worst I have had, although room was clean and good. A/C didn't work, called maintenance, they had a look said was fixed, but nothing changed. Lift broke half of the stay. Breakfast was OK, but very limited vegetarian options.

This hotel was not worth it. The staff upon checkin were very unhelpful, to the point they were even sarcastic when we asked them any questions. The room was okay, but very hot, AC did not work, and out balcony looked on to other balcony with no airflow whatsoever. The hotel was extremely loud, other guests hanging out in the hall ways yelling and partying. My friend and i made complaints, which were never followed up. The final three nights were the worst, a bunch of teenagers were staying and they were very loud all hrs. And then the last night there was a party downstairs and it was so loud it was as if it was in our room. I made a sound complaint yet again and nothing was done. Overall visit was unsatisfactory i will forward this onto the hotel, because i do beleive something should be done.

The first room we were given had issues due to having a dirty wall which needed redecorating. It was also very small for 2 people it resembled a store room and was located by the lift which wasn’t suitable for us due to related noise issues from the lift. I did ask the receptionist if it was possible to change rooms. Which they promptly allocated a beautiful room which was more spacious with a large bed and full width balcony. The breakfast was great with so much choice. The hotel is in a fantastic spot for shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. We enjoyed our visit so much we are rebooking for the Spring.

Easy check in. Very friendly staff. Great big room but bathroom quite small. Whole buiding could do with some TLC. Great breakfast also with plenty of choice and friendly efficient staff. Had an issue with no hot water but it was sorted within 30 mins. Overall enjoyed my stay and a convenient location for local bus services, restaurants, shops and bars

Good experience overall.
The breakfast area is not comfortable. Very noisy due to all the hard surfaces and it could be very chilly in some spots due to air conditioning. I had a room at the rear so there was not much of a view. But I think the front area is very noisy due to traffic.
