I had a rough trip to San Juan due to a 12 hour delay in Philadelphia but the owner, Angel, and the property manager, Wally were more than understanding of my situation and accommodated me when I arrived. The room was clean and comfortable during the period of my stay. I went during the week of July 4th, and was happy that I was the only one staying there for most of my stay.
The neighborhood is very quiet during the day and night, so I was happy about that since I enjoy a calm, peaceful area while I am resting and I felt safe. I spent most of my time in Ciales, which isn't too far away. This area is very close to the supermarket, some restaurants, food stands, and shopping areas. Not to mention, the casino, if you're interested.
The room was very welcoming and clean. I felt comfortable and especially happy with the AC (because it was SO hot outside). They have a microwave, stove, and refrigerator, along with cooking pots, plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, and eating utensils, which was great because I could cook small meals if I wanted to, and store my drinks/food in the fridge. They also had a wash/dryer in my room, so I was able to do my own laundry-- but you have to make sure to buy your own detergent/fabric softer. I'm a smart packer, so I actually bought just enough clothes for my stay, but it was nice to be able to wash most of my clothes by machine as opposed to by hand, before packing all of my things again.
I definitely would stay here again.
