We found this to be a lovely hotel and the Prinzlauer district and a good base for exploring Berlin. The room was luxurious and very comfortable. The included breakfast is excellent, although the wait staff were somewhat unfriendly. The staff at the front desk, however were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is 2 stops on the M2 tram from Alexanderplatz.

Our toilet wouldn’t flush. We informed staff, but they did nothing. Then we lost lights in our room. Staff actually said to me “ I don’t know what to do”. Room was nice, but old. Staff was friendly, but ultimately unhelpful. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

I had such an amazing stay at the Grand Hyatt Berlin. I didn’t use the pool, gym, or breakfast, but the room and service was phenomenal. Room was squeaky clean everyday, room was gorgeous, and the location was convenient and felt very safe. It was my first time in Germany and this hotel made my experience perfect.
If there is anything to criticize, it would be the Vox restaurant. My fries came out cold and my water was over 10 euros. It would’ve been nice to know that my water would be more expensive than most other drink options and my side. Their crème brûlée and wine was amazing though. I wanted to go back just for those.
I will be coming back here if I come back to Berlin :)

"Clean and great location. Easy to find, nice room overall. I had to switch rooms twice as ac didn’t function, but it turned out that was the way their ac is, and even though it was 90 out, preset ac is very, very low. Also, all stores are closed on Sundays, so be prepared to spend $32 on their breakfast. ..."
