Yosemite break
Lovely property, peaceful location yet convenient for the towns of Mariposa and Oakhurst and the amenities that they have to offer. The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Easy check in process and good lines of communication with the hosts in case we needed anything (we didn’t!). We would recommend and stay again if ever we were looking to visit Yosemite again.

Great property in beautiful and quiet surroundings. The house and hot tub were clean and instructions were readily available. The kitchen was lacking in cups, glass and some utensils. It would be great to refresh this. It’s worth noting that it’s 90mins into Yosemite Valley Overall a great stay and we would come back again

Yosemite Retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed the property. We stayed for three nights and took day trips to Yosemite, Mariposa and Bass Lake. We attended a wedding on the Saturday evening and the property was less than 30 minutes away from the venue at Bass Lake. The property itself was very clean and well stocked with towels, linens, as well as a very well stocked kitchen. The weather turned extremely hot while during our stay and the HVAC systems kept up nicely. Signage around the property was excellent and made our stay more pleasant. The location while convenient offers for extreme privacy and quiet. We would recommend this rental to all.

My family and I arrived and at first glance the place looked great. Then we noticed there was trash in one of the bedroom closets, floors were dirty with animal fur, cob webs were on fixtures and walls. The air intake was filthy. Then we could not get the ceiling fan/light combo's to work with any of the remotes other than the master that was stuck on high. After the scavenger hunt we were able to get 4 of the 6 fans and lights working. The sets of doors going to the back deck were both broken unable to close unless locked. The masters doors were broken making them difficult to open and when closed left a gap between them letting cold air in the room. The master shower door handle was broken off making it unable to close while showering. The water heater valve was broken causing it to moan loudly every 15-20 minutes day and night. The stove knobs were broken and tv in the game room did not work. Needles to say I reached out to the host to explain the issues. I received a generic response stating they were sorry to hear of the issues and would attend to these things for their future guests. We decided to leave after the second day and I requested a refund for part of the stay. I was told to request a cancelation through VRBO and send pics. I was unable due to the stay being ineligible and was then told sorry they couldn't help me. VRBO stated that I would need to request this from the host. I have never been so unhappy and left early.

Great family getaway
We had a great time. Something for everyone at this cabin. The kinds and adults enjoyed the ping pong and foosball in the new game room. Hot tub enjoyed by all. Real relaxing hangout, open floor plan. It is a long drive -- about 90 minutes -- to the Yosemite Valley floor from the cabin so you just need to plan accordingly. We would stay here again!

Great Size/Location & Outdoor Space - bring some essentials though
Great house with a great hot tub and nice and big living room, kitchen and table for family! This is the second time renting this house and we were more prepared. Last time we cooked too much and there was no tupperware - good to bring some large ziplock bags and tupperware if planning to cook. They only have bath towels and hand towels, so bring a washcloth and beach towel for the hot tub. Beware of the driveway when entering! Looks like you're going off a cliff, but just drive straight. My husband almost drove into the propane tank slightly to the left. My one BIG suggestion would be that they need a couple of those tall markers on each side of the top of the driveway for those unfamiliar with it. Otherwise, a great stay and great hosts!

Beautiful and comfortable…plenty of space for our family. We loved it! The hot tub and patio were great! The only odd thing is that the master bedroom has no door to the master bathroom…only an optional curtain. Then in the master bathroom, toilet, sink and shower are all open…so no privacy while doing the various tasks. :) Fine for us as a married couple, but I could see it being a problem if you are sharing the bedroom/bathroom with friends or something.

We had a great time visiting this property for a family vacation. The house was comfortable, spacious, well organized and situated in a beautiful location. We enjoyed visiting Mariposa and Oakhurst which were in close proximity. We took a day trip to Yosemite and thoroughly enjoyed it!

A Perfect House to Share
Great house packed with all essentials….we loved the outdoor area for social time while kids played in the hot tub and made s’mores at the fire pit. It was a bit of a drive from the park but the drive is beautiful. We saw deer, chickens, and wild turkeys from our breakfast table….great views!!

Great house, roomy and spacious, had everything we needed. About an hour to Yosemite Arch Rock entrance, less to South Entrance but it was closed for fire. Definitely a hike to any restaurants, stores, town, so plan for that. All in all, a great house and we enjoyed our stay!

Gorgeous house, friendly attentive hosts, minor room for improvement
The house itself is absolutely perfect for a big group! There were 8 of us that stayed there on a family trip to Yosemite. The open layout of the kitchen, large comfy couch in the tv room, and string-lit patio space equipped with a fire, hot tub, and grill, created a lovely social atmosphere for the fam to hang after a day of hiking. My family was thrilled at this home I found for our trip, and even days later I'm STILL getting compliments on this gem I found! The hosts were very informative on the front end, sending clear instructions through a virtual welcome book that was user friendly. I didn't have any issues at check in or with anything in the home (hot tub on and running, grill in full operation) but I imagine if I did they would've been responsive considering how responsive the host was prior to check in. I didn't give 5/5 on every category - solely because there are minor room for improvement including 1) more kitchenware (not much serving bowls, trays, etc if you plan on cooking large family meals, though we made it work) and 2) extra towels would be great for future users (or know to bring your own if large group and you don't want to use the same for shower and hot tub). The location is a bit of a drive from Yosemite, approx 45 min from Fish Camp southern entrance - but truly if you're going to a National Park and not expecting to drive a lot you just don't know what you're getting yourself into.

Good quality towels, great organization, clean place. My friends and I loved this place and highly recommended The only opportunity for improvement is that property is around 1hr and 30 minutes from Yosemite, even though the property was advertised as Yosemite Retreat. We did not know how far away was the property from Yosemite until 2 weeks prior our arrival. Not big deal. We just needed to adjust our plans slightly to account for 3 hours of driving for commute.

Had a great family trip to Yosemite (5-adults, infant and toddler). The house is in the back of a quiet neighborhood and saw lots of wildlife. Deer in the yard every morning and chickens next door. Also saw rabbits and wild turkey. The house has a huge deck and a great size hot tub. The inside has a large open area great for kids, but the floors were very dirty. We brought mats for the kids to lay on. Was surprised that it did not look like the floors were mopped, only swept. The kitchen was stocked with a few basics. No pod coffee maker, only a coffee pot. No baking dishes for the oven, we created tinfoil wraps, but otherwise had everything else needed. The bedrooms were nice, but the master was a full-size bed with only a chair, no furniture to set anything on other than the floor. There were plenty of towels and owner delivered hair dryers when reached out there were none in the home. The owner was very responsive, and communication was great with her. Location was great for us as we explored both entrances to Yosemite-about an hour each way, so in the middle. We hiked the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias one day, and the second day we went in through the north entrance and explored the whole valley, including going the to tunnel view. Overall would recommend this location if you like a nice quiet relaxing retreat after exploring and hiking in the park.

Hidden gem!!!
Our group of 7 adults and a baby enjoyed this place a lot. The house is super spacious and we found it very clean and well equipped. The supply available to accommodate the baby was a great and unexpected surprise. The deck and the hot tub added to the comfort and the enjoyment of the place. We would have loved to stay at least one more day, but the house was waiting for the next guests. Thank you Jazzy for your prompt and well organized communication!

It was a longer drive to Yosemite than we anticipated, but enjoyed the deck. It is quiet and peaceful. We did enjoyed our stay overall. Fit our group of 8 perfectly. Didn't really have to contact host, but sent a note after first night just to see if there was anything needed, and she would be responsive I am sure.

Great location. Convenient to both the north and south entrances to Yosemite. The shower and hot tub were wonderful after lots of hiking in the Park. TWO WASHERS AND DRYERS made the trip really with three muddy snowy kids. Kitchen has plenty of storage and well outfitted. My kids loved the goldflatware 😄. When we were there the only thing the house lacked was enough bowls. But we made do with mugs. Really enjoyed the comfort of home away from home

The property is very nice and after a long day of hiking the hot tub and we’re amazing.
Overall the experience was good, but the disappointing part was the 8 hour power outage. We had to drive to Oakhurst to have internet access and phone service in order to try and determine what was going on. Thee was a very very slow response from the property manager. I sent an email, a text and left a voicemail. Unfortunately I didn’t hear back from the property manager until the next day. I had to determine which company services the area so I could call them to determine what was going on. This was a waste of majority of a full vacation day.

The home owner was always available to talk and answer any and all questions.
Everything was good except when we arrived the floors were very, very dirty. They have dark wood floors in living room and the light in the bedrooms and I could see they hadn’t been washed in a long time. I clean houses for a living and was shocked that the cleaning crew would skip on such a important and obvious detail. However the rest of the house was very clean.

Perfect Getaway
We were looking for an affordable property to stay at in which we could drive to Yosemite each day. This was a perfect home with plenty of space and a GREAT outdoor deck with a hot tub, which came in handy every night post-hiking.
