"Janet and Chris were very welcoming and the property was clean, nice decor and well furnished, an ideal size for a couple or even with a child. It was a great base to explore a part of France that we were unfamiliar with and our dog was well catered for with nice walks in the area and also from the cottage."

"We had a fantastic stay at this lovely home in Val de Loire. The house stayed cool despite the July heat, and the fenced garden was perfect for our two dogs. Janet has thought of everything, making it a peaceful and comfortable retreat. We can't wait to return!"

"Fijn verblijf. Aardige en behulpzame gastvrouw en heer. Prachtig gelegen. Goede uitvalsbasis voor mooie fietstochten (E-MTB) door bossen, agrarisch gebied, dorpjes en de stad Loches. Het was koud (eind april). Het huisje ligt op het oosten en pakt weinig zon. Verwarming is OK, jammer dat de haard niet gebruikt mocht worden. Verder is het huisje goed uitgerust."

"Nous sommes enchantés de la semaine de vacances que nous avons passé près de la Puye. La maison est spacieuse, joliment décorée et bien équipée. Le domaine est magnifique, apaisant, calme. Nous avons été très bien reçus par les propriétaires, des personnes charmantes et généreuses. Nos adolescents ont également apprécié les lieux. "

"We had a wonderful holiday in this spacious gite. The pool was a big hit with the children and a perfect escape from the heat ! The location is set in acres of stunning scenery, yet you aren’t far from bakeries, butchers and supermarkets etc.. Local wine and produce is very good value and Relais Routiers close to the gite were superb for lunch, 4 courses including wine for just €13. "Nous avons passé un très bon week-end dans cette très belle maison. L'environnement est très beau et aussi très calme. La maison est très bien équipée pour 12 personnes. (Vaisselle suffisante, barbecue , belle cheminée avec le bois à disposition.)La ville de Loches est magnifique, je vous conseille le marché du samedi matin.Le seul souci que nous avons rencontré se situe au niveau des lits, en effet les lattes des sommiers tombent durant la nuit, nécessitant de se lever pour les remettre. "This really is a Narnia house- the entrance is somewhat deceptive because once you get inside it is quite magical. Not only has the owner, Nancy, gathered together a lot of fascinating French antiques, but it is also a very comfortable house with every modern appliance you can think of. We didn’t use the garden much as we had a lot of rain but it is pretty, enclosed and safe for our dog. The village is within easy walking distance and has a baker! "Très partagée quant à notre nuitée dans ce gîte. Je trouve le rapport qualité/prix un peu discutable. Les plus: La tranquillité, la communication avec les propriétaires, la vue de la terrasse, la multitude d'ustensiles de cuisine, la literie, les animaux autorisés, le stationnement Les moins:La vue sur le côté du gîte: entrepôt grand ouvert avec des affaires, de l'outillage... ça gâche la magnifique vue et impossible de laisser le chien en liberté sans qu'il n'y aille. Il faisait caniculaire...

"Excellent séjour! Gîte familial climatisé très agréable bien situé pour visiter l’ensemble des monuments prestigieux du département. On a pu profiter de la piscine privée après des journées caniculaires. Et pour ne rien gâcher, les propriétaires, Sandrine et Christophe, de très bons conseils, sont très accueillants, généreux et bienveillants tout en respectant notre intimité. Une vrai expérience de partage. Je recommande chaudement:)"

"Beautiful authenthic house in Brenne located next du Maison du Parc of the Brenne nature reserve were walks into the reserve start. Lot of lakes were birds and other animals thrive. The house has everything you need and a magnificent garden. Our dogs also liked it. For the kids the area got a bit boring after a couple of days of walking and birding as most lakes were private so we bought stuff were they could play with in the garden. The house was the old donkey house and is nicely restored....

"Le seul point d’amélioration concerne l’équipement de jardin (chaises, transat...) qui sont hors d’âge et rafistolés. Petit point négatif : la piscine située à l’ombre et donc faiblement réchauffée par le soleil (entre 10:00 du matin et midi). Difficile d’entrer dans l’eau surtout en période de canicule. Mais super-super séjour."

"Les 1ers échanges par mail avec la propriétaire sont sympathiques.Mais c'est a la fin du séjour que ça se complique, elle refuse les échanges par téléphone pour régler les soucis rencontrés lors de notre séjour.meme si on ne s'est jamais rencontré et donc pas d'état des lieux ni a l'entrée ni a la sortie elle veut nous facturer des choses que nous n'avons pas cassé ! Elle nous reproche de ne pas avoir nettoyé alors que nous avons pris l'option ménage ! Le comble.La location est pour 12 personnes...

"Great location, with everything we needed. The accommodation was a short drive to Loche which offered some great restaurants and local markets. We also had the opportunity to see the Tour de France as it went through a local village 30 mins drive away. Pascal was always on hand if we needed her, however we were happy to be left alone to enjoy our holiday. Great holiday, thank you. "

"We were very pleased with our suite. It was clean, the air conditioning worked well. Plenty of room for our dog plus a balcony. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our dinner in the restaurant was superb and breakfast excellent. We would certainly stay again."

"We have enjoyed a wonderful holiday staying for two weeks in this lovely gite. The property is beautifully restored and has everything needed for comfortable living. The photographs do not do the property justice as it is much nicer than shown, with a lovely shower room and separate toilet facilities and lovely shady areas to sit all around.The swimming pool is beautiful - chest height throughout with easy access steps and new quality sun beds and shades.Our hosts were lovely and provided us with gifts of fresh eggs and produce from their garden.We enjoyed exploring local towns and villages where there are many colourful markets and lovely places for coffee and lunch.The whole area is very tranquil and the gite is in an incredibly peaceful spot.Thank you to our hosts - we hope to return next year."
