Citizen M is located directly across the road from the Markt Hall which from an aesthetic point of view beautiful but also full of an amazing array of foods, perfect after a days sightseeing. The hotel itself is self check in and out which suited me fine but there are always members of staff around to help you,the rooms are spacious and the bed absolutely huge and very comfortable. All operated by an i-pad which is a nice touch and very easy to use even if you are not computer/tablet savvy. The hotel is around 25 minutes walk from Centraal station but all flat or the Rotterdam Blaak station is also opposite the hotel so caters for all, i personally walked to and from the hotel including with my luggage and it was no issue. I would reccomend the hotel for its location making it easy to explore ( the old harbour is also behind the hotel which is lovely) plenty of food and drink options on your doorstep and the added bonus of a 24 hour bar/restaurant in the hotel which is a great bonus, add to that the comfortable rooms you cant really go wrong.

This was an adorable boutique hotel within 5 mins drive to the cruise port and within walking distance to the heart of Rotterdam. Our particular room was the “romantic suite” and was enormous with a bathroom area as big as the room itself! Tastefully decorated and welcoming! The lobby sitting area was cozy and had coffee, etc as well as a small bar and light snacks. They serve breakfast in their quaint kitchen and it was delicious as well as very convenient before we embarked on our cruise. I would absolutely stay here again!

We only had one night stay as visiting the Rotterdam Zoo which is closeby. The hotel comes with a large parking adjacent so quite convenient and you pay at check-in. We loved the breakfast and kids were so happy to find a packcake machine. The gym was under reconstruction but we used it and was ok for a quick work out. Our room was strangely not ready (checking in around 17h30) but were given an alternative room. The down side was the room floor was dirty and had no fridge. There is a kids corner in the lobby but there was nothing to entertain the children which was a bit of let down. There is a self-check out shop with food and drinks and prices looked decent. There is not much to do around and tram to centre was a good 15mins walk.
