Kerr Lake Log Cabin On Calm Cove With Gentle Slope To Water, Nearby Sandy Beach
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay, as the listing said, nice gentle slope/ easy walk down to the dock. House was very clean and very well equipped, and the hosts were very responsive and nice. "
"Everything was very good about our stay. My only issue was with the pool. It did not have a ladder that reached to the bottom. It stopped short about 10 feet. So I needed help in order to get into the pool. Also it was worst trying to get out because there was nothing to pull myself up with. "
Solar powered cottage at lake, with dock, on private 300 acre timber preserve
10/10 Excellent
"Quiet cottage in the woods, solar powered with a generator. Very peaceful and relaxing. Walk to the dock is fairly short. We brought a collapsible wagon, to tote chairs, cooler, and fishing rods , had no issues with the wagon on the trail. Highly recommend! If you are looking for peace and quiet and a place, this is your place! We will be back"
"Nice room, comfortable couch and bed only complaint is they don’t come in and service the room daily unless you ask. But any amenities you need they will happily get for you and have waiting at the front desk with 10/10. Stay there again."
Charming cabin get away w/ walk-in shower, kitchenette, AC/heat, WiFi
10/10 Excellent
"This property was full of history and unique features. There is craftsmanship in each piece, from ceilings using wood repurposed from old barns to the bed headboard made from the door of the original house. You get to know all about the history of the place it used to be. The property is beautiful and lovely to walk around. You might even get to say hello to beautiful horses and a few other friendly animals or enjoy figs from the fig trees if you visit when they are in season. The cabin itself has a small flower/ vegetable garden that you are invited to use. As for the owners Kevin and Kathryn… they are the best hosts. They won’t you to feel completely welcome and you can have as little or as much contact with them as you want. Me, being a semi- social person loved going out and finding them as they worked on their little farmland. They are friendly and knowledgeable and I feel like we were friends from the start. If you’re not feeling social, you’ll never see them unless you have need of something. This was a truly wonderful experience. Accessible for those who might have trouble with stairs or need a bench in the shower. I can’t think of anything negative or needing improvement to say about this place! "
Angler's Den~Kerr Lake Life! Lake Front, Kayaks & Boat Dock
10/10 Excellent
"What a great place! Kayaks are right there to take out. Comfortable beds. Gorgeous property and saw deer strolling through. Scott is a wonderful host and made some suggestions for places to eat and things to see. Really enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back!"
6000sf Luxury Home on Main Lake Cove – minutes off I-85
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect home for a family gathering. The dock was excellent with plenty of water toys; pool table was a hit along with the variety of indoor games; the screened in porch was awesome and so important to keeping out flying critters."
Cabin on Gaston. Fishing, hunting, relaxation in luxury.
10/10 Excellent
"The house was amazing! We loved being able to go down to a boat ramp 8 minutes away and bring our boat back to the dock of the house. I cannot brag on this stay enough. The only thing we would ever suggest adding is tie-ons for boats at the dock. We tied off to the surrounding trees. "
"We loved our stay at this property! My friends and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend swimming, kayaking, and enjoying the sun on the deck and private dock. The outdoor amenities were great. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and tools, and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We did have an issue checking in due to the keyless entry getting jammed. We were not able to get into the home until a couple hours after check-in since the host was out of town. However, Andrew was very communicative and came right away to fix the issue. We would stay again!"
"We had a great stay. We had my 84 year old father and mother and three adult children and spouses and 2 adult grandkids with their spouses. The house was plenty big enough and the walk to the dock was nice and flat. We stayed in June during a massive heatwave in the upper 90s each day. We would like to come back in the fall. The kitchen was stocked with everthing imaginable and loads of china. My mother was so excited. We ate on different china for each meal. "
"Pros: Owner was kind enough to let us in early. Plenty of room for my crew. Secluded and quiet location. Saw a bald eagle. Interior was tidy. AC was up to the challenge of the 95 degrees days.Cons: The image from the webpage showed the property on a lake. Unfortunately, the water in the cove was stagnant and anything but alluring. I don't know if swimming was advertised so make sure you ask. Beadspread in the master had a light yellowish brown stain which I did not notice until the last night. A lot of pots and a small fish pond with green standing water which adds to the mosquitos. Master bath tub needs attention. Could use more flatware. Exterior could have been better kept (microwave on front porch, lots or STUFF on the back porch, broken down chest freezer. There was a propane grill but needed a serious cleaning."
"My job requires your round travel, but I must say I have never stayed at a motel. That was more eager to provide us with everything we ask, even though the motel is not ultra modern, it has a quaint warm feeling to it. I would definitely recommend this place and if I’m in the area, that is where I will stay."
Waterfront Lake Home - Private Dock & 1/4 Mile Beach - High Speed Wifi
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was perfect about this property! From check in to check out everything was great. Communication with property owner was perfect. The property itself was everything we could have asked for. Great location from boat ramp and perfect dock for tying up our boat. There was ample room for our toddler to run when we weren't in the water. The walk from the house to lake was short and was a visible safe path. The tractor with a trailer to help get stuff to the lake was the perfect addition. The house was perfect. Great vacation spot and will definitely vacation here again!"
"The gentleman at the front desk on July 18 & 19 2025, was by far the kindest and respectful front desk employee/manager we have ever had the pleasure. We travel ALOT."
