"The people who worked at Puerta Cortes were very nice. There were A LOT of flies outdoors in every restaurant and no one told us that the beaches aren't used by locals because of the stingrays in the shallow waters.... despite that - we thought it was an amazingly beautiful area. There was an issue with a late pickup on the return trip to the airport but it all worked out ok in the end."

"We brought 4 teens down for spring break (our son & 3 friends) and this home was perfect! The patio is huge and the views are beyond stunning. We even saw a SpaceX rocket launch one night! Sea lions frolic in the waves, we saw a gray whale & a seal while paddleboarding offshore, and surfed the waves right off the house. At low tide, you can walk quite a distance along the beach and explore tidal pools. We loved that it was walking distance to Puerto Nuevo and close to other surf breaks. The...

"I did not feel that the unit was cleaned properly. There were dead bugs throughout the stairs and both floors. seems like they might have sprayed for bugs but did not clean up the aftermath. It's a really bad way to start a stay when it's one of the first things you see as you walk in. Also, could not communicate with the owner. I had VRBO call and leave a message with my contact info. Never heard anything from him nor did he ever reply to my text messages."

"The villa was superb. Having our own pool and spa made this a wonderful place to hang out. Used the BBQ many nights and sat around the fire pit every night enjoying the weather. Although the area had a local shuttle, we used a rental car instead. (Would highly recommend insuring you have a vehicle as restaurants, beaches and town are about 15-30 minutes away.) "We had to book this last minute after being lied to about amenities in first rental. Owner was great - let us check in that day and even went over and spruced the place up. The rooftop is really nice and has a great view. It is located right by Costco and pretty close to town. There is a lot of construction going on in the area, but oddly enough the noice never disturbed us while sleeping or napping.
