"The house is huge, the kitchen is fully stocked. There is a huge TV and 2 large leather lounges. The house is right next to the sheep paddock and there were twin 3 day old lambs that were absolutely gorgeous. We were disappointed to only have one interaction with the farm animals (we hoped for morning and night daily as per the guest information) but we do understand it was a busy long weekend and we have to fit in with the owners. Kylee was lovely when she met us and we helped to feed horses, chickens and sheep. We got to meet Cruz the dog who was gorgeous. We would recommend Camelot if you are in the area."
"Exactly what we needed, and really wish we'd had a whole week. It was peaceful, comfortable, with everything you'd need. We didn't realise there was even coffee to try the espresso machine! Next time... Brought my parents here as we'd stayed at the old Barrington Guest House when I was a kid. Still a beautiful area. We did the Blue Gum Track, and a whole lot of bird-watching, even seeing lyrebirds for the first time. Dungog is worth a visit - a small community-focused town. Hopefully we'll be back soon!"
Country Getaway unwind watch the cows or enjoy local sights and wineries
8/10 Good
"Very quiet area and certainly good for unwinding. The walk from the parking area to the house was a challenge for an older person with no pathway, and clumpy grass patches on heavily pitted soil were difficult to negotiate in the dark. The kitchen was well equipped and the host kindly provided breakfast supplies. It was the most comfortable bed I have slept in for a long time and a large king size. The bathroom is tiny and lacks enough vanity space to hold toilet bag and clean clothes, or hooks for hanging towels. The bedroom is large with a massive walk-in robe but would benefit from some luggage racks to put suitcases on, rather than the floor. It's a short drive to the nearby Central Hotel at Stroud where we had a great meal and good entertainment. Best of luck to Tracey for future hosting. Her place is a well situated stop just off the Pacific Highway and only a few hours short of Sydney."
"Great little well-run hotel in beautiful Dungog. The staff/managers were accomodating and it was simply a clean, pleasant and satisfying stay. Recommended"
Family-sized getaway in the heart of the Williams valley, near Barrington tops
10/10 Excellent
"Was ideal for our family getaway. The house had everything we could have hoped for. A/c was lovely on the hot days, the fire pit was fabulous at night to sit around and toast marshmallows and chat. The beds and linen were clean and comfy. The outdoor lounge was lovely for nibbles and wine of an afternoon. It was perfect. Thank you!"
"I would have stayed a week if I could have! More time to enjoy more cups of tea on the deck with the sound of birdsong and the gently flowing river below. This place is idyllic. Feels like the most secluded, peaceful place, but 5 minutes drive from the nearest pub or bakery.
The owners were helpfully responsive to my email enquiry before our stay, but left us alone to enjoy the experience when we were there. The cottages are well away from the house and the garden is designed so that the cottages are fairly private from each other. "

10/10 Excellent
"Treetops Cabin was a wonderful comfortable home for our young family for a disconnected weekend away - with stunning bush walks at the doorstep, visits from colorful parrots at the verandah, comfy beds, a warm pellet heater fireplace, tennis courts, games and DVDs aplenty - we will be back!"
