Customer service is excellent, breakfast is great. The carpet was not that good ( lots of stains 😟) otherwise it's great with the location .

Very dated property, musty, old decor, TV didn’t work in the main area and the area is not the greatest. Lots of homeless and folks asking for money etc..

The hotel room seems to be small compared to what appears on gallery in expedia(quite surprising mainly because of higher expectations). Breakfast was amazing, delicious and plenty of options. Cleanliness was great! Cons are there’s no hand wash or sanitizer in the room, there was no floor mat beside bathtub in washroom which is safety concern and gross; Hard to find parking- it is otherside of hotel underground but if it has mentioned in Expedia that would have been great. Anyway overall my stay seems good.

Our bathroom was not clean. We did not get hot water while showering. We reported the hot water situation to the hotel and they chose not to compensate us. In addition, someone got stabbed outside of the hotel. My wife was scared.

The young lady who helped us check in was so helpful. She gave us a map and showed us a number of places to go for sightseeing and for food. The room was huge with an extra sitting room and kitchen. Shower was awesome with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was nothing special, but even the pickiest eater should be able to find something to tide them over. My only criticism is how tightfisted they are with the coffee pods. Some people can't wait till 6:30 to go to the breakfast area to get their fix and even then it's much more convenient to just make it in the room. Had to beg for extra pods, sometimes to no avail.

Free breakfast was good. Hotel is located within walking distance of most of what we wanted to see. The room was nice. The carpets are old and need to be replaced but other than that the room was good.

This hotel is in a reasonable location for getting around and very convenient for getting the bus to and from the airport. Hotel security is good. The hotel itself is in need of some refurbishment and the surrounding area is dirty and the pavements in places are quite dangerous. But we did find Montreal as a whole quite uncared for.

We recently stayed at the hotel and had a mixed experience. Upon arrival, we were given a different room than the one we booked on Expedia, without notification. When we inquired about the discrepancy, we were told it was an "upgrade." However, the room had its drawbacks. While the carpet appeared unclean, the sofa had noticeable stains with an unpleasant odor, which we highly suspected might be urine. After bringing it to the staff's attention, they replaced the sofa, but the cause of the smell remained unclear. The bedroom was poorly lit, which added to our overall dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, we found the room to be unclean and not worth the price we paid. On a positive note, the reception staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, which was a redeeming aspect of our stay.

We stay here often when not too expensive to get away and spend couple nights in Montreal. Location is fabulous and can bring snacks n breakfast as full kitchen. Good value for family in dwtn Mtl

Place is dated but centrally located walking distance to Chateau Frontenac/ Parliament and the old town area. Close to shops, restaurants and about 12 minutes drive to Montmorency falls. We tried the breakfast buffet it was okay for 26 Canadian $.

Chose this hotel because it was close to the MTELUS concert hall. I stayed from April 23-24 to attend a show by The Black Crowes. Even though I often travel to Montreal to attend concerts, I didn't know this hotel at all and I was reallt pleasantly surprised. Clean room, loved having a fridge with a ''kitchen area'' (didn't use the microwave), nice bed, big nice room in good condition The nightly rate was also really affordable. I would stay at Le Faubourg again! Negative points: didn't find the AC/heating controls in the room, so the place felt a bit hot, bathroom showed a tiny bit of wear and tear, but was pretty clean, sketchy characters hanging out close the place. It was a bit creepy coming back from the show late at night by myself but no one bothered me.

The hotel could be excellent if it is renovated , carpet in room terrible and did not want to seat on dirty looking sofa. The room is big and had kitchenette. People at the desk were very friendly and helpful. I did not have their included breakfast as it was not anything I wanted myself. The location is fantastic as I could walk everywhere I needed and also to the Metro. This hotel could be a fantastic one if they removed the old carpets and did better cleaning.
