Quebec Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

Quebec is where picture-perfect cafes line the sidewalks, towering forests surround pristine pastures, and bronze church spires glimmer in the sun. A combination of rugged landscapes, majestic mountain ranges, history-soaked city quarters, and cosmopolitan sophistication, Quebec's diversity makes it a vibrant and exciting travel destination.

The bilingual city of Montreal is surprisingly affordable, and there are many cheap hotel deals in Quebec that will put you in rooms at the center of the city at low rates. The combination of affordability, cosmopolitan dynamism, and a certain joie de vivre inspired by the French results in an irresistible city marked by swank eateries, a buzzing Quartier Latin, and world-class museums.

In the province's other major metropolis, Quebec City, visitors can stay in Quebec hotels atop the alluring Cape Diamond. The city evokes a sense of high adventure, exploration, and military history, but it is also known for its inventive cuisine, well-preserved Old Town, and Francophone spirit.

Hotels in Quebec City are most crowded during the summer, when festivals fill the parks and special museum exhibitions highlight the area's art, history, and culture. In autumn and spring, you can find the best cheap hotel deals in Quebec City, but prices tend to go up around the Winter Festival. If you can find a special discount during the festival, book it because the experience is not to be missed!

To explore the more rugged side of the province, take advantage of the Quebec hotel deals in the Eastern Townships. Southeast of Montreal, the area is known for its crisp, blue lakes, verdant rolling hills, and opportunities for outdoor adventure. Many Quebec hotel packages include activities there, including fishing and swimming in the summer, walking in the fall foliage, skiing at Mont Orford during winter, and preparing maple syrup in the spring.

If you love skiing, use a top cheap Quebec hotel deal to explore Les Laurentides. The natural paradise is especially crowded during the Christmas holidays, and reservations are recommended if you want to stay in the charming resort villages. The rocky hills will challenge even the most seasoned skiers, but there is plenty to enjoy in the area without skis, including five-star restaurants, unique boutiques, and lovely parks.

"Lovely, Historic Hotel in Downtown Montreal "
We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. The hotel is an historic property with all the modern amenities. The beds were very comfortable and the décor was traditional and tasteful. Our room was on the 6th floor overlooking the cathedral - a beautiful view. The price of the room was very reasonable compared with other 4 star hotels in Montreal so it was a good value.

    "Great Hotel, Great staff"
We booked this hotel last minute and they welcomed us with open arms. The room was clean, bed was clean and there was free parking at the back. As well, it was only 10 minutes away from the heart of Quebec. Overall great experience and would definitely go back.

"Charming room in heart of Old Port Quebec City."
The location of this hotel is wonderful. We walked right outside the front door into the quaint streets of Old Port. Lots of bistros and sidewalk dining. The rooms are charming--wood floors, brick walls and small kitchenettes. However a sofa bed is a poor excuse for a bed and I actually felt sorry for my son who had to sleep on it. Would be nice if the hotel had a complimentary breakfast for guests in the morning. I don't know if this is a French thing, but we noticed the service in the hotel bar to be quite slow and inattentive. I would have gladly ordered a second drink but the waiter never bothered to come back and ask if we'd like another round and my husband had to walk over to the bar to ask for the bill. After that experience the first night we didn't bother to eat at the hotel again during our stay.
