“It was a bit tricky to find since it is hidden behind a hotel. Google maps took us to the right parking lot (Waterfront Inn) - just go all the way to the back. If you like the natural wood look, you will love this cabin. Just about perfect but missing some little details like wall hooks in bathroom/bedroom, a broom for sand on the porch, etc. Easy walk to Arnold ferry and downtown shops. “Beach front cabin could not be beat for location and the cabin was clean and a great home base for all things Mackinaw city within walking distance, including the ferry to Mackinac Island. Beach is rocky in places, so be sure to bring some good water shoes! Access to the amenities of the nearby hotels was also a nice bonus, although some of the hotel facilities are a bit dated and have some deferred maintenance. “We had a good overall experience at this cabin/cottage. The place was clean, comfortable, and matched my expectations for the price. Check-in and communication with the host were smooth and hassle-free. The location was cool, kind of on a peninsula, and had everything we needed for our stay. Bathroom was tight but functional. It was close enough to what we wanted to do. We did not utilize the water at all but it was nice viewing the lake in our downtime. I would stay here again. ”

“Cabin in the woods! Seclusion, peace. Simple, uncluttered. The space was relaxing , practical and functional to use with ease, important if youre cooking all your meals. Good spot for our dogs. The house/yard on one side was close enough to see the yard through the trees but otherwise, very secluded. Great location to explore the NW corner of lower Michigan. Great trail into the woods in back. One of us gets ill from perfumes so we had to put the scented trash bags outside and sub our own...

“This place was perfect for our needs of having a dog-friendly place to stay between our trips to Mackinaw City & Mackinac Island—great location (~12 minute drive to Mackinaw), comfortable amenities, and quiet. Would love to come back and explore more of the area!”
