We got our room at a significant discount, so for the price, this was a great option in downtown Charlottesville. The rooms and lobby were nice, but basic necessities were lacking.
In most circumstances, the virtual front desk probably works fine (check in and check out were easy), but we requested a few extra blankets our first night and were told that wouldn't be a problem. An hour later, I checked the status and was told that everyone had gone home and we could get the blankets the next day. Additionally, upon inquiring about where we could get bottled water, I was pointed to nearby convenience stores.
If you think about this spot as an apartment or condo rental, you'll be fine! And bring water and blankets!

Our room was clean and the staff was super friendly and courteous. We did hope that our room had a microwave and refrigerator. It makes sense to have that available in every room on the grounds. Guests I’m sure would appreciate it. Please consider doing this. Lastly, we could here noises above us from possibly furniture that wasn’t secure. Footsteps are understandable, but the rattle of something above room 5 was a bit annoying. This is probably an eat fix. Overall the property was safe, clean and convenient.
