Quiet hotel, easy check in. Was disappointed that pool was not in working condition, should be explained at the website. Common areas inside are spacious and inviting to relax, read a book.

Very comfortable and affordable room for late night traveling and just needing a place to rest before hitting the road again.

Liked the River. I will not stay here again. We drove from Bar Harbor, ME to the Shire. I found out yesterday that registration is only for two hours on Wednesday. We drove all day and arrived at 5:07 pm. Luckily the reception was still open. I had booked two rooms and only one room had a key in the room and had been registered for late arrival. What would have happened if they wouldn’t have been open. Then we found out no elevator and we had to lug everything upstairs. We had 2 weeks worth of clothes in suitcases so it was tough maneuvering the stairs.

Economical lodging in the center of Brattleboro in a historic building that also houses a movie theater. The aire conditioning could not be controlled from the room, and it was so cold in the room that we moved elsewhere.

Front desk staff very courteous and friendly. Rooms were clean and well supplied with towels. Breakfast buffet was good. Chicken sausage was terrible. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
