"Very enjoyable stay on Smith Lake (Sipsey River)We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Whitt’s end! There was plenty of room and excellent communication with the property owner. The property was as advertised with some general wear and tear on the house. It was quiet even with other properties nearby. The house was very comfortable for our group of 11. We had all the necessities we needed provided by the owner and the A/C kept the house cold. The fire pit was also a big hit in the evenings.The Screened porch works great especially with all the kids when it rains, which it did often this past week. was perfect to just hang out, eat, play games or just relax with lots of seating. There is easy access to boat dock via wooden walkway with not many steps and well lit at night. The boat dock is in an excellent location with very little boat traffic so the kids were able to play off the dock. Its not on the main channel and just inside a no wake zone. The water pad and slide were perfect! The covered boat slip and JetSki port was great for the PWC and bass boat although a power receptacle to recharge the batteries would have been nice. I'm glad it was covered since it rained so much! The public launch was close by (next to Lakeshore Marina). Its a short drive - or boat ride - to Lakeshore Marina. We all had a great time and would definitely rent again! As a matter of fact, my family has already asked me to re-rent this property for next year."

"The house is nestled back in the wood for a perfect feeling of seclusion while still being conveniently located to amenities around. The cabin was very clean and organized and offered almost any amenity you could really need. The wrap around porch was a great spot for hanging out with friends and perfect place to slowly wake up on the swing in the morning time. Host was very nice and communication was amazing! Would 100% stay again. If you are looking at this property for your next trip don’t hesitate to book."

"The property was very pretty and well thought out. The house was also well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. Loved the low boat traffic location too! Best house we have stayed at yet! The only negative was there is one AC unit for upstairs and downstairs. It was chilly for the people downstairs and a little warm for the people upstairs. Still would stay there again! "

"If you are looking for a beautiful, wooded getaway with no other humans, this is it! A comfortable home with everything you need to cook, rest, and enjoy a break from your phone. Easy 1.5 hour drive from Birmingham Alabama. My family had a great time at the "secret beach"! I loved it as an adult, but my 7-year-old was absolutely enamored. I loved waking up to the view of the treetops from the master bedroom looking out on to the private balcony. Going to stay longer next time! "

"We a groomsman fishing trip from this location as basically somewhere to cook and sleep for the night. The property is very nice with the easiest of access to the 2 story dock which we spent most of our time. 100% would recommend to friends! "
