“Staff was great, breakfast was great with a good selection of local options. Property was really clean and well maintained, parking was super easy and location was very conveniently located. However, the room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures, and the pool was not heated (we were here mid June). This is normal for this area, but we made sure to book a place that looked like it had a hot tub and while it appears on the pictures that there is a hot tub, this was also not heated………

Close to Apollo's Temple, the pier, restaurants, night clubs, and Old Town. I can still feel the Aegean Sea breeze through the windows as I was enjoying my coffee in the mornings. “Three star hotel seems overrated: Cons: The rooms were very outdated. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, along with the bedding being old. The beach towels provided (specifically to our room) appeared to be rags. Other guests had newer towels. The bathroom had a tiny shower with doors that did not close and leaked water, completely soaking the bath mat with each shower. I would also recommend showering at night or being an early riser. There was no hot water any of the three days around……

“We loved our stay at Nysis. The rooms were well appointed, quiet and spotlessly clean. The gardens and pool area were lovely - perfect for a bit of sunbathing, reading or just sitting with a cold glass of wine. The location is convenient for both the beaches and restaurants and the port, from which the boat taxi can take you to the beaches further around the island. “We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Grotta. From the start, they arranged for free transport to and from the Ferry Port. This was extremely convenient and cost effective for us. We enjoyed the friendly driver who handled our tranport. When I had a problem with a change in time on our ferry ticket, he quickly transported me to the Ferry ticket office to resolve so I could get to my ferry on time. The breakfast was spectacular. There was so much food and it was deliciously prepared. ……
