A tiny (and cheap) thing but may needed for shower as very slippy and none provided so had to use a towel, not ideal. Only thing that is likely to prevent is staying again is quality of mattress - too soft and so not terribly comfortable sleep. Staff were very helpful and allowed me to upgrade for a reasonable price. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant menu very good, with excellent service throughout. The house itself is impressive but rooms and common areas are frankly knackered. Greasy marks around switches, peeling, chipped wallpaper and broken furniture throughout. "Lovely ground floor room , with great amenities.
Fantastic welcome from Allessio on the reception desk, he couldn’t have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
My only concern was there was no rubber mat in the shower and I found the floor very slippery."

"La chambre était mal ventilée, le frigo ne fonctionnait pas, la toilette faisait un bruit infernal… on a tenté de rejoindre quelques fois la réception, mais il n’y avait jamais personne. C’est proche du centre ville et l’autobus passe sur le coin, il y a un stationnement difficile à manœuvrer, mais il est inclus."

"Very nice stay although we only booked 1 night. Lovely big room on the ground floor. Owner very welcoming and helpful advising where to find restaurants/pubs locally.
Little bit far out of the main Royal Mile for us to walk but there is a bus stop right outside which will take you straight there.
Lovely new bathroom. Would benefit from some shelving to put toiletries/toothbrushes etc on but this is just a suggestion more than a negative. Lovely stay overall."
