The staff at the Randolph Hotel were wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. Unfortunately, the condition of the rooms did not come close to matching the nearly $400 per night we were charged. The furniture was worn and damaged, including ripped chairs. There was debris in the drawers, heavy dust around the perimeter of the room, and debris under the beds that appeared to have been there for some time. The room also had a faint smell of previous smoking. My friend’s room was in similar condition, so this did not appear to be an isolated issue. The hotel also appears to be undergoing renovations, and some work areas were left open and untidy, creating potential trip hazards. I added some photos but they do not show the true appearance due to the flash. What was most disappointing was the value. I found this hotel normally advertised for under $100 per night, yet we were charged nearly $400, likely due to a Syracuse University event. Higher rates during busy weekends are understandable, but at that price guests should expect a clean, well-maintained room. The staff deserve praise, but this Wyndham property needs significant attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and overall condition.

I was honestly pretty nervous after reading so many bad reviews before my stay. But now that I’m here, it’s really fine! It’s definitely not a 5-star hotel, but it gets the job done and serves our needs well. My only real complaint is the parking lot. I came back pretty late from dinner last night and couldn't find a single open spot. Assuming there’s at least one space per room, management really needs to make sure only registered guests are parking there.

I have stayed here now three time, there is one staff person I truly think amazing and is always accommodating and delightful. My rooms in the past have been dirty and not cleaned properly. I’m glad to say that this time the room was clean. It was my first experience here where I wasn’t grossed out. We did have an issue with the toilet running and not stopping. Maintaince came by and determined a part needed to be replaced. But the part replacement wasn’t in stock in the building and needed to be ordered. The hotel was sold out so we couldn’t get a new room. We did manage to get the toilet to stop running (as it was very loud and couldn’t sleep with it on). Glad to say the issue resolved and it shut off without issues the rest of our stay. I would suggest the prior to the big parent weekend for Syracuse University where hotel is fully booked to stock up on parts with maintenance to avoid issues. Goi n forward. All in all our stay went well. Appreciated the clean room and friendly staff we encountered during our stay. Please think about getting larger towels for bathrooms, topping off shower gels and shampoos on major weekends, (shower gel ran out in our bathroom). Or provide more than two towels. The size of the towels are small and I myself need two towels one for hair one for body. I would also recommend having air fryer available in lobby for guest to use. Or toaster oven. Some leftovers don’t heat well in microwave.
