There is a good local shop for all basic needs approx a 10 minute walk away. Very good comms with the owner. However, we did notice that the sound coming up from the restaurant area was very audible in the rooms (even with the balcony doors fully closed), and the nightowls who were staying up late eating and talking were also very noisy when coming to their rooms - again, the loud slamming of doors was disturbing. A few more soundproof measures (such as door closing dampners) would be an excellent investment in a hotel that \*nearly\* gets it all right!
