Before we left for our trip into Cefalu, we were reassured by the hotel that there would be many cabs at the station. There were none. When we called Hotel Tourist for assistance, they said no, and then hung up on us. I walk with a cane and it was tough. They were sarcastic with us when we didn’t understand that the key turned on electrical for the room. After the first day it was better, (attitude) but I wouldn’t come here again. The room was so small, and the area wasn’t good for choices regarding restaurants. Cefalu is amazing but I’m assuming the other places were a lot more expensive. I live in a tourist area myself, and I get it: when the season is over everyone wants to relax. But we felt as though we were bothering them.

If you want wifi in your hotel room do not book this hotel as many of the rooms do not have wifi which was very disappointing when it advertises free wifi in all rooms

Nice place with great pool. When specifically for the pool side to do some laps. Area is great and walking distance from the town.

A clean, decent hotel with friendly staff.
Clean hotel and airy rooms. Very friendly staff. Putting two single mattresses on a double bed is not a good idea however as it does not help for a very comfortable sleep. And having to go up four steps to get to the elevator, luggage and all is not ideal neither. Otherwise a decent hotel, on the waterfront and only fifteen minutes or so from the centre.

This property was beachfront, and had a nice swimming pool. We walked into the Cefalu city center every night we stayed - it was a decent walk, but not overwhelming. The air conditioning in the room functioned great. We enjoyed checking out the little bars/food opportunities along the beach as well. Overall, a nice, clean hotel in a great location.

The hotel looked great on line, was as far away from the actual town as you could be, all good on arrival, when we came back from a walk upon entering our room there was a terrible odour (a sewer back up smell) which we complained about 3 times without any assistance. This was a very strong odour and permeated our clothing.

Bad 1st. Whoever fitted out our bedroom had no idea of guests needs as we had NO drawers and had to live out of our suitcases. They make you walk out onto the public pavement to get round to the pool, when they have a perfectly good way through an outside eating area, which is similar to most other hotels we have stayed at, but they block the gates. 3euro for a beach towel which you can keep for till u leave but 3 euro if you exchange for a clean one. Only eat there, in evening, once and wouldn't a second time. Breakfast just about acceptable. No courtesy room after we checked out, had to use, inadequate, communal pool shower block. Our room safe was loose in the wardrobe and you could easily walk off with it. Beach very stony in the sea, unlike the photo. Sandy area further along. Now the good. Excellent hotel car pick up at the airport, 190euros return, cheaper than others. Great that the Hotel beach sun beds/umbrellas were free (rare in Italy) and directly opposite the hotel. Lifeguards on watch both pool and beach. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, especially Roy the barman who would bring the drinks to the pool for you if he wasn't busy. Pool and surroundings always clean and loads of free sun beds with no-one reserving them while we were there. Other guests seemed mainly Italian. Hotel prices reasonable, similar to other bars etc, bar food and drinks OK. 15 minute walk into town. 2 to 3 minute walk to nearest beach bar then another every minute or so, towards town.

The ocean view was beautiful! The bathroom facilities were poor; the shower was slippery, there was no place to hang clothes for dressing, and the hot water ran out after two showers. The elevator was five steps up, so it was not accessible for the elderly or handicapped, and it was very difficult to carry luggage up the stairs, to the elevator.

Cefalu - Stunning
The hotel is a little dated but very clean and the rooms have everything you need. Staff are very helpful. Absolutely beautiful area, pictures do not do this place justice. It is stunningly beautiful and I would recommend this place to anyone. The food is fab, the area very clean and the hospitality superb. Amazing sunsets!

Good value hotel with a lot of positive points.
A nice hotel 10 minute walk into town. Nice private beach a few minutes along the promenade. Could have done with providing beach towels. Linen in room well used and a bit grubby but otherwise all clean and comfortable. Nice pool but too deep for young children or non swimmers. Shallowest part 1.5m, great if you really want to swim.

Long awaited trip
Hotel ideally positioned along the coast in a quiet spot. Lovely big pool and sitting area. We overlooked the pool with a little balcony. Breakfast was very good and plenty of. 10 minute walk if that into the main town along the front. Town of Cefalu is beautiful lovely winding streets, plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Great atmosphere. Would defiantly go back and stay longer.

The Hotel is located near the sea and offers a swimming pool which is a plus when the weather is not really hot enough to swim in the sea.

Simple and affordable
The hotel location was right on the beach within walking distance to the adorable old town of Cefalu. The staff was exceedingly kind and helpful. The room was pretty small and basic. The beds were just only ok. Breakfast was included and they croissants were good but the rest was simply fine. Because of it being the off season the chairs on the beach were not set up yet (understandably) and it was too cold and rainy to use the pool so I can’t comment upon those. In all the hotel was simply fine and a good price.

Nice Hotel
Stayed in hotel for a couple of days. Received a room upgrade to room with a see view which was pleasing. Hotel is in a good location. 15 - 20 minute walk into Cefalu along the beech front. Swimming pool is a really good size and plenty of room to sit around. Wifi in the rooms worked well. Room was very clean. Hotel was fine for a short stay as 3 star hotel.

Good value for money hotel
Good quiet location - a short walk into town. The hotel had it's own small beach and a good size pool with plenty of sunbeds. The restaurant was large with both indoor and outdoor seating areas. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and friendly dining staff. The reception staff were excellent and very helpful. Overall a great experience.

Would consider ours a perfect stay. We arrived before check in and we're delighted that our room was ready for check in. Rooms cleaned daily to a very good standard with regular change of towels and linen Breakfast was excellant with friendly staff on hand Only used the pool once but always appeared clean with plent of sun beds. Area of beach exclusive for hotel guests well maintained A quiet area of Cefalu with a 15-20 minute walk into town Hotel arranged airport transfer to Palermo were good value, punctua and professionall

Really nice seafront hotel
The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the beautiful old town of Cefalu. The walk is a pleasant one along the seafront. The pool is very large with plenty of beds, which were always readily available, and there is also a private beach just seconds away. At breakfast we were pleased with a large variety of food. Three of us stayed in a room of adequate size. We were pleased with our decision to book a pool view room, which also gave us a clear sea view. We really enjoyed our stay here. The only downside would be that the wifi in our room was patchy.

Hotel Tourist is fantastic.
Great location and great service. Breakfast buffet is great quality and tasty stuff. The lido is right across the street. Probably only negative of the location is the lido, very rocky to get to and very tight. Otherwise, amazing. Pool is great, too. Thank you hotel Tourist.

Not bad hotel on seafront
For May stay at hotel the private beach for hotel was not as in photo - it was covered with rocks & stones no beach chairs etc. Suggest take own chair from hotel. Sea good /clean & warm when you get past rocks. Room spacious but bed too hard & could do with new shower cabinet to freshen bathroom. Breakfast moderate mostly same everyday. Cefalu old town 1ml walk from hotel very good, small & relatively unspoilt, plenty of good restaurants. Would stay in Cefalu area again.

Dear Guest, thank you for your stay. Unfortunately the private beach is not the same every year (sometimes it changes in one month!). Beaches lose their sand because of the sea. We are going to renovate all rooms, but at the moment we still have some economic Classic rooms. We really hope to meet you soon to show our improvement.

Good, basic hotel, 15 minutes walk from centre
We chose Hotel Tourist as a budget option, and we were pleased with what we got. The decor is a little dated, but our family room was spacious and clean, and the staff were lovely. Be aware that the pool is unheated (and was freezing in April) and that the breakfast coffee is from a very bad coffee machine and tastes instant - but the bar serving much nicer coffee is only 10 paces away. We would happily return.

Lovely hotel in great location
We were very happy with all aspects of this hotel. Its location, across the road from the beach, short walk from the gorgeous town, close to several restaurants. It was clean, friendly and the food was lovely. More than happy to recommend.

Very nice hotel
Loved this hotel. Not far from the town, nice walk. Had the beach to ourselves at times. The room at the side (216) had been refurbished and had a nice view of the town and La Rocca. The pool area was nice. Breakfast was good, excellent choice even eggs and bacon which you don't usually get in Italy. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Overall had a really lovely time here and our stay was nice and peaceful.

Nice hotel with excellent pool for length swimming
Really enjoyable stay, pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel is about a mile from the town and may not suit everybody but we liked it, the walk into town is flat and next to the sea so is lovely. Every night the hotel had some entertainment on or a barbecue so if you wanted to stay local you could do. The bar area was pleasant.

Stayed at the hotel in August and had a wonderful time. Spent most of our time around the pool but the hotel's beach was very close. Took 20 minutes at a leisurely pace to walk up to the town. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at the hotel in future.
