"An amazing place tucked away in the countryside but conveniently located for lots of the area’s attractions. We came in late Sept and the weather was warm enough for us to picnic our evening meal on the terrace in peace and quiet. The hosts are brilliant nothing is too much trouble and spent time explaining the best places to go. The rooms are of a really high standard and decorated impressively. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. "

"Sophie was excellent at communication and met us at the property with the keys and full instructions. Inside the house is modern with good sized bedrooms and a very well stocked kitchen. The welcome basket of local produce was highly appreciated.The Pool and garden are exceptional with plenty to keep all ages occupied. The Pool was cleaned twice a week and the rubbish was removed.The location is remote and wonderful yet close to Monpazier and all the Dordogne has to offer.Overall, excellent."
"Gorgeous house- in a quiet rural area. The shared pool (shared with a few other houses) is large and we only had one other family use it whilst we were there. It is a little walk from the house but down the hill so on a hot day we chose to drive and park the car under the trees. The house itself is lovely- could sleep minimum of 10 if you used the open plan bedroom upstairs. All other bedrooms are on one level (just one step) so good for access. The advert said English was spoken but this was not the case. We managed to communicate with the very friendly hosts in our poor French :) Everything of interest is about 20-30 minutes away. Highlights were canoeing near Siorac-en-Périgord, quad biking and visiting La Roque Gageac/ Beynac/ Domme. Lovely stay- thank you. "

"We had a lovely time at the house and it was perfect for our needs. Two very nicely appointed rooms upstairs for adults and the second queen downstairs had the benefit of more privacy. The pool and back garden was so lovely to enjoy at the end of the day and we also made the most of the coal BBQ. It is also only 5 minutes drive from Monpaizer. Capdrot is a very quiet village to escape busy tourist spots. The house also had a lovely kitchen, lounge and dining area. "

"We had a quiet and relaxing stay. Beautifully set out and wonderfully constructed building which tells a story of the history of the building while being functional. Well appointed rooms and amenities. 10 min drive to local town for our daily croissants.Thank you for thos little touches that made it even more amazing"

"We stayed with a big group attending a horse race locally. The hosts were very welcoming and the house was perfect for our big group. Sadly we didntt have enough time to enjoy the pool, views and outdoor table!"
"Everyone was extremely welcoming and attentive. The Chateau looks amazing on arrival and even more so in the evening. It has a fabulous pool area and the views over the surround countryside are stunning. Our room was lovely which also had amazing views. There is parking on site and we had breakfast booked which was good. The village is a stones throw and definitely worth going to visit. "
"After reading the reviews we decided to take a punt and book the holiday. I’m so glad we did! All the reviews (good and bad) are spot on. The property is ‘rustic’. There are no frills but the layout of the house was perfect for 2 families and it is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. We all forgot towels and Lucie was at the door before I had even signed off. "
