We did not end up staying at the Rodin Square Flats (aka The Dalian). On the day of check in, only after receiving check in instructions, did we realize Barsala (the management company) moved us to a completely different location about 10 min in another location of the city without any prior notice. After a few phone calls back and forth, we were sent back to the original property location (The Dalian), except Barsala tried to claim that they were giving us a complimentary upgrade from the penthouse (the condo we originally booked) to a condo on the 3rd floor. After entering the unit on the 3rd floor, it was evident that the condo had not been cleaned after the previous occupant. At this point it was around 7:30 at night and the front desk management stated to us if it hasn't been cleaned yet then it wouldn't be cleaned until probably the next day. I was not able to get hold of anyone from Barsala after finding the unit dirty after several phone call attempts even tried the emergency number that was provided. I called Hotels.com and their customer service was amazing. It took awhile on the phone (about an hour) but he eventually was able to go through a few loops and cancel the reservation with a full refund. Unfortunately it was around 9pm that we had to then search for a new place to stay for the next 4 nights. Overall, the building (The Dalian) looked really nice from what we could tell and the unit itself was nice if it had been cleaned.
